If none of the recommended Vagaro Services match what your business offers or you want to use a more creative name, you can add a custom service instead. You'll still be able to sell them together with Vagaro Services in a bundle, as a package, and in your memberships.
Note
Each service must first be assigned to a service provider who accepts online bookings for customers to find them on your Vagaro Listing Page.
While managing your menu, you can search your services by entering part or all of a word to see exact and partial matches at the top of the left-side menu, then select the one you want to update. Alternatively, press Ctrl +K on a PC, or press Command + K on a Mac to move your cursor to the Search bar.
Prerequisites: This feature is available for all Vagaro businesses.
To add a custom service to your service menu:

At the bottom of the screen, select Things We Sell heading, select Service/Class Menu.

Select Services.

At the top of the screen, verify that the service is being created for the correct employee, or select the displayed name to change it to another employee.

At the bottom of the screen, select Add, and then select Service.

Select Custom Service. The service is added to the list of services and classes.

Enter the service's details:

Service Name and Service Description, and Category.

Resource: Any space or equipment limitations required to perform the service.

Add-Ons Suggested: Service add-ons that customers may want to include with their service.

Tax: Select any taxes applicable to this service.

Business Cost: How much it costs your business to perform this service, such as supplies, materials, and rent. The cost must be less than what your service providers charge for this service.

Cleanup Time: The amount of time blocked off after the service for the employee to clean up and prepare for the booking on their calendar. This reserved time is useful for back-to-back appointments.

Mobile Services: Whether this service can be performed off-site from your business location.

Show Online: Whether customers can see and book this service on your Vagaro Listing Page.

Show Service Price Online: If customers can book this service on your Vagaro Listing Page, they can also see the service's price.

Live Stream: Whether customers can attend this service remotely over the Internet.

Price: How much the customer has to pay for the service.

Price (with Tax): Automatically calculated by Vagaro.

Duration: Amount of time blocked off on the calendar to perform the service.

Add Gap Time: Amount of time during a service available that can be used to provide service to another customer.

Points Given: Number of points that a customer earns for completing the service.

Points to Redeem: Number of points that a customer must redeem instead of cash for the service.

Add Photo: Optionally, add a photo of the service or something that represents the service.

Select Save.

Repeat steps 3 to 7 to add additional services to your menu.

To rearrange the order of the services or change their categories on your Vagaro Listing Page, drag the service's handle to their new place.

Assign the service to an employee by updating their Employee Profile.
To add a custom service to your service menu:

Go to Service/Class Menu.

On the Web: At the top of the screen, select Settings, and then under the Things We Sell heading on the left side of the screen, select Service/Class Menu.

On a Tablet/Pay Desk: At the bottom of the screen, select Settings, and then under the Things We Sell heading, select Service/Class Menu.

On the Services tab, select Add, and then select Service.

Select Custom Service.

Enter or update the service's details.

Add Photo: Optionally, add a photo of the service or something that represents the service.

Service Name, Description, and Category.

Select the employee(s) to perform the service.

Performed By: Toggle on the switch beside the employee(s) who will perform the service.

Price: How much the service costs to be performed by the service provider. The price charged must be greater than the Business Cost.

Duration and Gap Time: Amount of time blocked off on the employee's calendar to perform the service, and optionally enter any downtown during the same appointment to provide service to another customer. For example, while a customer's hair is drying, you accept an appointment for another customer's eyebrows.

Points Given: Number of points that a customer earns for completing the service.

Points Redeem: Number of points that a customer can redeem instead of cash for the service.

Select the employees who will perform the service by toggling on the switches in the Performed By column.

Select Save.
