When you assign a color to a service, you're actually assigning a color to its service category. Selecting a color for a service category will also apply to all its services so you can visually identify what type of service is scheduled on the Calendar.

Prerequisites: This feature is available for all Vagaro businesses. At least one service category and a service must already be created.
To assign a color to a service category:

Go to

Select Services.

Select the service category, and then select Edit.

In the Category screen, select a Color. Optionally, you can change the Category Name as well.

Select Save. A circle with your chosen color is shown next to the service category's name.

Is there a way we can change the colors of the appointment status? It'd be nice if we could chose the color of our confirmed appts. and so on. :)
Leah - I'm sorry but those colors are standardize for all users on Vagaro. Confirmed appointments are always dark-orange.
Since we cannot modify the appointment status colors, could you make the 'confirmed' and 'no show' less alike? and not dark orange vs red.
I agree with Angela could the status color for "no show" be a different color change than the red. It is very similar to the dark orange for "confirmed"?
I see these comments are from 2013-2016...that's 3-4 years ago. Have there been any modifications to allow us to customize these colors? There are many colors that are only 1-2 shades different, and colors like orange are hard for color blind individuals to see. I would like to think in the modern age 3-4 years is plenty of time for a tech team to create/edit this option to it's users and please consider just because users have not commented or submitted this request doesn't mean it isn't an option worth focusing on as this is a part of ALL vagaro customer's day to day business and ANY requests made in the direct day to day operations should be moved to the forefront of urgency, I hope I don't have to yet again find another software to meet my simple requests/needs...
Sorry but the title of this article is incorrect. There is no way to add a color to a service, only the category.
Hi Sina. Thank you for the feedback. That's correct, but the color that you select for the category changes all of the services in that category as well. It's not just the category, but this is great feedback. I'll forward this to our management team.
Hi Charles, thanks for the info. I guess it would be nice to have sub-categories then
eg: - Nails (category)
- Manicure (sub-category "blue color")
- Manicure w/ gel ("color")
- Manicure w/ regular polish ("color")
- Pedicure (sub-category "red color")
etc.
