New and potential customers find you on the Vagaro Marketplace just by searching for the services and classes that you offer. But even after you've filled out your Business Profile and Facility Information, set up your Service/Class Menu, and added and assigned your employees, you may be wondering why you aren't attracting many new customers.

Tip
Vagaro also offers many other features to promote your business outside of Vagaro.com and on your Vagaro Listing Page.
First and foremost, your business must be searchable on the Vagaro Marketplace; otherwise, your business will not appear in any search results. In the Business Profile screen, toggling on the List Business on Vagaro.com switch will immediately make your Vagaro Listing Page visible to all Vagaro customers.
Some businesses may want to stand out by using creative or quirky names for your services and classes; however, Vagaro only reads specific keywords in the names your services and classes when customers search on the Vagaro Marketplace. To ensure your services and classes show up in your customers' search results, we recommend using keywords that customers are likely to use by setting up your menu with Vagaro services and Vagaro classes, instead of custom ones, and you'll only have to add or update their descriptions and details. Although they'll be automatically grouped and named into appropriately named categories, Vagaro still only searches the names of your services and classes, regardless of the category names.
For example, if you're in the beauty industry and have a category called "Laser Hair Removal" with a service called "Face," your customers will not see your business in the search results, even though its category is for laser hair removal, so your service will not appear in any search results for laser hair removal. Instead, create a Vagaro service using the recommended name "Laser Hair Removal - Full Face," which would be listed as customers type "face."
On the Vagaro Marketplace, there is a search bar that allows customers to search for services and classes by location. Adding your business address to your Business Profile makes sure that your business will appear in your customers' search results if you're within 80 miles of their address or entered location.
It is important to assign your services and classes to your employees. If there is no service provider or instructor to perform the service or lead the class, not only will your business will not show up in your customers' search results, it will not appear on your list of services or classes either on your Vagaro Listing Page.
There is another search bar on the Vagaro Marketplace that allows customers to search for services and classes by date and appointment time. By adding your business hours and your employees' working hours, or auto-assigning employees to appointments, your can appear in search results as a business that is able to accommodate the customer's service request for the selected date and time.
Vera Fill My Books is a growth tool powered by Vera (Vagaro's built-in AI assistant). When you turn it on, Vera automatically creates deals to promote your availability across the Marketplace and sends out emails and push notifications to bring in more bookings — automatically.
Vera doesn't just market the campaigns it creates, it puts your business front and center of the Vagaro Marketplace! Vera Fill My Books features you on the Vagaro Marketplace homepage in a "Sponsored" section, and places you at the top of the results when customers search for services on Vagaro.
Even after a client has selected the link to view the service or class in their search results, they may also want to learn about your business and what you have to offer before contacting or booking with you. Additional ways you can make your business noticed and trustworthy on the Vagaro Marketplace for customers to book with you, we also recommend adding or updating the following business information in Vagaro:
-
Add a logo or high-quality photo of your space, your work, or your team.
-
In your Business Profile, add a description and your contact information.
-
In your Facility Information, select at least one spoken language and one accepted payment method.
-
A service cancellation policy and/or class cancellation policy

Is there a way to see more deeply where exactly Vera got someone to originally come from? It seems as though the Daily Deals and this are kind of double dipping. I just want to truly allocate the 20% or 5% value to Vera doing something we couldn't (aka going through a list of potential customers and marketing specifically to them through a specific push notification, email, or text). It seems this and Daily Deals may be going in tandem. I just want to be able to directly allocate whether someone stumbled onto our website, used this deal since it was active, and Vera is taking credit, or if Vera has a ay of attributing more active marketing methods to their ability to lock in a booking. Also, are we able to create Daily Deals without Vera, thus showing maybe it was the Daily Deal all along and not some active outreach campaign from Vera. I love the concept, but the actual attribution of how exactly Vera provided value outside of just ‘launching a discount’ is my main concern with paying such a high fee for new customers.
Hi Jake,
Right now, there isn't a way to check this. However, I forwarded your feedback to the product team.
Thanks
Jamie
