PayPro Mini is a portable and standalone device, available only for US businesses, separate from the main PayPro unit that can also run Vagaro and process transactions. The camera on the back of the tablet can scan barcodes and QR codes without a barcode scanner, and you can optionally pair the Vagaro receipt printer (sold separately in the Vagaro Online Store) to PayPro Mini. An active Internet connection is required to use Vagaro and process credit card transactions.
The PayPro can be used as a standalone device or used as a payment terminal with PayPro or a computer.
Even if PayPro Mini is not paired with PayPro during the first onboarding, you can plug it in later to pair them.
Prerequisites: This feature is available only in the US and requires PayPro Mini, an active Internet connection, and Credit Card Processing. You can't pair a PayPro Mini with a Chromebook or Pay Desk.
Using PayPro Mini to run your business eliminates the need for a barcode scanner, by using the front and back cameras; and a credit card reader, by using the credit card slot. If the tablet is away from the dock for an extended period, it can still be charged by plugging a USB-C cable into the USB-C port. The charging magnet on the back of the tablet ensures a secure connection between the tablet and the dock.

To set up the PayPro Mini:
When you power your PayPro Mini device for the first time, the Vagaro Setup Wizard will guide you through the initial setup to ensure Vagaro Pro functions correctly.
To run the Vagaro Setup Wizard on PayPro Mini:

Press and hold the power button on the device until it powers on.

On the Welcome screen, select Start.

Select a language, then Next.

Select a timezone, then select Next.

Select a Network, then select Next.

If required, enter the network’s Password, then select Connect.

After the device has connected to the network, select Next.
The device will begin downloading and installing the latest version of Vagaro Pro.
When the Setup Wizard is complete, the Welcome screen appears.

How many pay pro mini’s can by hooked up to one desktop computer? We don’t want the whole pay pro setup as we use our mac desktop for many other administrative tasks but would like the pay pro minis to take the place of our multiple iPads we use for checkout throughout the salon.

Can the client choose their tip amount from the PayPro Mini, or does the Provider need to ask for the tip amount before showing the client the transaction screen?

How do you get to the client check in from the PayPro Mini screen? In addition to checking out with payments, they need to be able to check in. Thank you
Hi Donna, if you're talking about the Vagaro Check-in App, that is not available on the PayPro Mini. So your customers won't be able to check themselves in from the app.
