Connect PayPro or PayPro Mini to an HP Printer

The HP Print Service Plugin lets you use your HP printer with PayPro and/or PayPro Mini to print your reports from their respective screens.

Prerequisites: This feature requires PayPro and/or PayPro Mini (US only) and an active Internet connection.

Install the HP Printer App

To download and install the HP Printer app:

  1. Turn on your PayPro or PayPro mini and go to the Home screen.

  2. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen, and then select the All Applications icon.

  3. Open the App Store.

  4. In the App Store, next to the HP Print Service Plugin app, select Get.

  5. Wait for the app to be downloaded and installed.

Connect to Your HP Printer

To connect PayPro to an HP printer:

  1. Turn on your PayPro or PayPro mini and go to the Home screen.

  2. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen, and then select the All Applications icon.

  3. Select the HP Print Service Plugin button.

  4. In the Welcome screen, swipe left.

  5. In the Simple Printing screen, swipe left.

  6. In the Preview and Control screen, swipe left.

  7. In the Get More screen, select the More kebab button in the top-right corner, then select Settings.

  8. In the Aboutscreen, select Discovery in the side menu.

  9. In the Discovery screen, make sure Wi-Fi Direct is toggled on if you'll be connecting to a network printer, then select Manage added printers.

  10. In the Manage Printers screen, select the top-right corner.

    Note

    The button to connect to your printer will not be visible; just tap the top-right corner of the screen.

  11. Select how you want the service to connect to your printer:

    • On a Wi-Fi Network: Enter your Preferred printer name to be displayed, and the printer's IP Address, then select OK.

    • Directly to the Printer (PayPro only): Make sure your printer's USB cable is plugged into the Pay Pro and the PayPro hub, select your printer in the screen, then select OK.

Print a Report

To print a report:

  1. Select More → Reports, and then select the report to run.

  2. Optionally, select the Filter settings.png button to set your report's filters, then select Run Report.

  3. Select the Action menu, then select Print.
