Listing your business on Google allows your customers to book appointments directly from Google Search or Google Maps using the Book Online button. If the customer has the Vagaro app, they'll go to your booking screen; otherwise, your Vagaro Listing Page will be shown in their web browser. To see how many appointments were scheduled via Google, run the Appointment Source report.
Note
When you first activate this feature, and every time you update your Vagaro business information, it may take up to a week for Google to display your updates.
Prerequisites: This feature is available for all Vagaro businesses.
To list your business on Google:
-
Your business must be out of the free trial period.
-
Online booking must be enabled.
-
At least one appointment has been booked within the last 30 days.
-
Your Business Profile must list a business address.
-
If you have a Business Address Line 2, such as a suite or apartment number, make sure that just a number is entered in that field. Entering text like "Suite" or "Apartment Number" in Business Line 2 may cause errors with Google Maps.
To set up your Google Business account:
-
Go to https://www.google.com/business/ and create a Google Business profile.
-
Verify that your name and address match what you entered in your Vagaro business profile.
-
Make sure that the Book Online button appears below your business's information:
-
In Google Maps, select Edit Profile, and then select Booking.
-
Check that Links to your online booking tools is blank.
-
To make sure that your business can be successfully found and booked via Google Maps:
-
Confirm these settings in the Business Profile screen:
-
Verify that your Vagaro name and address match what you entered in your Google Business profile.
-
Verify that your business profile information is up-to-date to be shown in your business listing on Google.
-
Toggle on List Business on Vagaro.com and List Business on Google.
-
-
Verify that your Facility Information, business logo, and photos are up-to-date to be shown in your business listing on Google.

Is there a way to control where clients land when they click the Google “Book Now” button?
Right now, it appears to open directly to the service menu/booking flow in the Vagaro app rather than the full business profile page. This appears to prevent clients from viewing other important business information beforehand, such as reviews, staff bios, business description, address/map, hours, cancellation policies, special instructions, and photo galleries.
It would be extremely helpful if businesses could choose whether the Google “Book Now” button opens:
Can we have a setting or toggle for this if we prefer it to land on the full Vagaro business profile first?
Hi Kyla,
Currently, we don't have this feature. I'd recommend submitting a feature request so other businesses on Vagaro can vote for this as well. Thank you!
