Add Photos to Venue Gallery and Portfolio

Add photos to your Vagaro Listing Page to show new customers your work and your space. There are two places to add them:

  • Portfolio: Photos of your work, like a color makeover, a fresh fade, or a set of nail art. Each portfolio holds up to three photos and is linked to a service, so customers can book that service right from your photos. Portfolios appear in the Photos section of your listing page and the Gallery page on Vagaro.

  • Venue Gallery: Photos of your business, like your front desk, stations, or treatment rooms. You can add up to 100, and they appear in the Photos section of your listing page.

For tips on taking great photos, see our photo guidelines. Vagaro reviews every photo you upload, may use it, and may remove any that violate our policies.

Prerequisites: This feature is available for all Vagaro businesses.

Your Vagaro Portfolio

Create as many portfolios as you like, with up to three images in each, to show off your work. Vagaro may feature great photos on our Gallery page and on our Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and X (Twitter) pages. Customers who select your photo can book directly with you.

On a Phone

To add a portfolio:

  1. Select More This is an icon used to go to the More initial navigation step on the Vagaro website and the Vagaro Pro app. → Photo Gallery.

  2. At the top of the screen, go to the Portfolio tab.

  3. Select Add Portfolio Image → Next.

  4. Upload up to three photos from your phone and enter a description for each one.

    Optionally, adjust your photos:

    • Change Featured Image: Select the star icon on the photo you want as your portfolio preview.

    • Remove Image: Select the image, then in the bottom-right corner, select the three dots more_horizontal.png → Delete.

    When you're done, select Next.

  5. Enter your portfolio's details, then select Next.

    • Title: The name of your portfolio.

    • Description (optional): A short summary customers see on your listing page and, if you have one, your MySite.

    • Category: The type of service the portfolio is for. Customers can use categories to filter portfolios.

    • Service: The specific service customers can book.

    • Service Provider (optional): A specific employee customers can book for this service.

  6. Select at least one filter from each category that applies, then select Next. Your portfolio appears in search results when customers choose these filters.

  7. Review your images and their descriptions, then select Save.

You've added a portfolio to your Vagaro Listing Page. Repeat these steps to add more portfolios.

On a Computer, Tablet, Pay Desk, or PayPro

To add a portfolio:

  1. Select Settings gear → Photo Gallery.

  2. At the top of the screen, go to the Portfolio tab.

  3. Select Add Portfolio Image → Next.

  4. Upload up to three photos and enter a description for each one.

    Optionally, adjust your photos:

    • Change Image: Hover over or select the image, then select Edit.

    • Remove Image: Hover over or select the image, then select the three dots more_horizontal.png → Delete.

    • Change Featured Image: Below the photo you want as your portfolio preview, select Select as Featured.

    When you're done, select Next.

  5. Enter your portfolio's details, then select Next.

    • Title: The name of your portfolio.

    • Portfolio Category: The type of service the portfolio is for. Customers can use categories to filter portfolios.

    • Description (optional): A short summary customers see on your listing page and, if you have one, your MySite.

    • Service: The specific service customers can book.

    • Performed By (optional): A specific employee customers can book for this service.

  6. Select at least one filter from each category that applies, then select Next. Your portfolio appears in search results when customers choose these filters.

  7. Read and agree to Vagaro's portfolio guidelines, then select Save.

You've added a portfolio to your Vagaro Listing Page. Repeat these steps to add more portfolios.

Your Vagaro Venue Gallery

Venue gallery photos let customers see your business, inside and out, before they visit. Upload up to 100 photos to show in the Photos section of your Vagaro Listing Page, like your reception area, styling stations, massage rooms, or anything else you want to show off.

For best results, keep images within 1000 x 667 px with a 3:2 aspect ratio. The maximum file size is 5 MB.

On a Phone

To add a photo to your venue gallery:

  1. Select More This is an icon used to go to the More initial navigation step on the Vagaro website and the Vagaro Pro app. → Photo Gallery.

  2. At the bottom of the screen, select Add Business Image → Add Venue Gallery.

  3. Upload images from your phone.

Your images appear in the gallery. Repeat these steps to add more images.

On a Computer, Tablet, Pay Desk, or PayPro

To add a photo to your venue gallery:

  1. Select Settings gear → Photo Gallery.

  2. From Venue Gallery, select Add Business Image, then select Add Venue Gallery.

  3. Upload the image.

  4. Make any edits in the image editor, then select Save.

Your images appear in the gallery. Repeat these steps to add more images.

Manage Your Images

After you add your photos, you can reorder, edit, or preview them, or set one as your business logo. To hide a portfolio without deleting it, deactivate it instead.

On a Phone

To manage your portfolios:

  • Change Order: In the top-right corner, select Edit, drag and drop the portfolio into place, and then select Done.

  • Delete Portfolio: In the top-right corner, select Edit, select the X to remove the portfolio, and then select Done. You can't undo this. To hide a portfolio without losing it, deactivate it instead.

  • Change and Preview Portfolio: Select the image, then select an option to perform an action:

    • Edit: Make changes to your portfolio.

    • Preview: See a preview of your portfolio.

    • Deactivate: Hide your portfolio from your listing page and, if you have one, your MySite. Your portfolio and its images are saved, so you can show it again later.

    • Delete: Remove this portfolio.

    • Activate: Reactivate your portfolio.

To manage your venue gallery:

  • Change Order: In the top-right corner, select Edit, drag and drop the image into place, and then select Done.

  • Delete Image: In the top-right corner, select Edit, select the X to remove the image, and then select Done. You can't undo this.

  • See Preview: Select View Result to go to your listing page. Your images appear under Photos.

  • Set Logo: Select the image, then in the bottom-right corner, select the three dots more_horizontal.png → Set as Logo. This image replaces your current business logo everywhere it appears in Vagaro.

On a Computer, Tablet, Pay Desk, or PayPro

To manage your portfolios:

  • Change Order: Drag and drop your portfolios into the order you want them to appear on your Vagaro Listing Page.

  • See Preview: Select View Result to go to your listing page. The featured photo from each portfolio appears under Photos.

  • Change the Portfolio: Hover over or select the portfolio image, select the three dots more_horizontal.png and choose an option:

    • Edit: Make changes to your portfolio

    • Deactivate: Hide your portfolio from your listing page and, if you have one, your MySite. Your portfolio and its images are saved, so you can show it again later.

    • Delete: Remove your portfolio. You can't undo this. To hide a portfolio without losing it, deactivate it instead.

    • Activate: Reactivate an inactive portfolio.

To manage your venue gallery:

  • Change Order: Drag and drop your images into the order you want them to appear on your Vagaro Listing Page.

  • See Preview: Select View Result to go to your listing page. Your images appear under Photos.

  • Change the Image: Hover over or select the portfolio image, select the three dots more_horizontal.png and choose an option:

    • Set as Logo: Replaces your business logo with this image everywhere it appears in Vagaro.

    • Mark Up Image: Mark up and edit your image.

    • Delete Image: Remove the image from your Venue Gallery. You can't undo this.
