Set Up Your Business Profile

Your business profile is one of the first things your customers will see when booking appointments with you online. You'll want customers to have all the information they need when they schedule with you, such as your business's name, a description of what you do and offer, your location, contact information, the days you're open, and business hours.

Prerequisites: This feature is available for all Vagaro businesses.

To set up your business profile:

  1. Go to your Business Profile:

    • Phone: Select More This is an icon used to go to the More initial navigation step on the Vagaro website and the Vagaro Pro app. → Settings → Business Profile.

    • Computer, Tablet, Pay Desk, or PayPro: Select Settings gear → Business Profile.

  2. Under the Business Information heading, enter the following information:

    • Business Name: Your business's legal name.

    • Business Description: Enter at least 100 characters to explain what your business does or is about, and any other information you'd like customers to know.

    • Business Phone, Business Email, and Business Website: How customers can contact your business.

    • Vagaro URL: Your business's name or moniker that is added to the end of www.vagaro.com for customers to visit your Vagaro Listing Page. For example, if your business is called "Rock Starz," enter RockStarz to be found online at www.vagaro.com/rockstarz.

  3. Toggle the following settings:

    • Show Contact Information: Whether to show the email address and phone number you provided above. On your Vagaro Listing Page, customers can select the corresponding buttons to contact your business.

    • Show Vagaro Connect Messaging: Whether to show the Vagaro Connect Message button on your Vagaro Listing Page. Toggling off this setting prevents most messages through Vagaro Connect, you may receive messages if a customer contacts your Vagaro number directly or replies to a text campaign.

    • List Business on Vagaro.com: Whether customers can find your business on the Vagaro Marketplace and book appointments on your Vagaro Listing Page. Listing your business on the Vagaro Marketplace makes your business visible to potential customers in their search results.

      Note

      This setting is already toggled on when you create your Vagaro business. Even if you don't list your business on Vagaro.com, your customers will still be able to find your business if they bookmarked your page in their web browser or know your Vagaro Listing Page's URL.

    • List Business on Google and/or List Business on Apple Maps: Whether customers can book with you directly from Google Maps or Apple Maps.

      Note

      To list your business on Google Maps, you must already have a Google Business account.

      To list your business on Apple Maps, you must already have an Apple Business account and Apple Business Connect account.

      It may take up to 24 hours for your business to appear on these services.

    • List Business on Yelp: Display a "Book Now" button on your Yelp business page that links directly to your Vagaro booking page.

    • Enable Daylight Saving?: Whether to apply daylight saving time in Vagaro for customer appointments, clock-in/out entries, reports, and other screens and where timestamps appear. This toggle appears only for businesses located in Hawaii, Arizona, and Puerto Rico, and in Saskatchewan, Canada. If this setting is toggled on to apply daylight saving time, it must also be toggled off when daylight saving time ends.

  4. Under the Business Location heading, provide the following information:

    • Service Location: Specifies that your business is performed At My Business, At My Client's Location, or Both. Additional settings are required if you want to offer mobile services.

    • Business Address Line 1 (and Business Address Line 2, if applicable): Where your business is located and additional street address details, such as suite or unit number. While you type your address, the field predicts the address you are trying to enter, and you can select your address when you see it fully shown in the results. The system may prompt you to select a different address if it cannot find the one you enter.

      Note

      Business addresses cannot be a P.O. box.

      Tip

      The map automatically shows the location you entered. If the location is wrong, select Fix Incorrect Map Marker to move the pin to where it should be, and then select Save Map Marker.

    • Use Business Address for Navigation App Directions: Toggle if you want your customers' navigation apps to use the address you entered (instead of the map marker, if you moved the pin).

  5. Specify what days and times your business is open and closed:

    Note

    This toggle does not appear if you have only one Vagaro license, which is usually the business owner's. Instead, the working hours entered in the business owner's Employee Profile screen are automatically used.

    • Business Hours (disables “Use Employee Working Hours”): Show the days and times that your business is open, regardless of when your employees are working. Toggle the Day of the Week and then enter the Opens at and Closes at times. Select Copy to All to copy the same times to every day of the week, and make minor changes, such as closing earlier on the weekend.

    • Use Employee Working Hours (disables "Business Hours") : Shows the business's opening and closing hours based on employees working hours. For example, if one employee works on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 AM to 2 PM, and another employee works Monday to Friday from 11 AM to 4 PM, then your opening hours would be Mondays to Fridays from 8 AM to 4 PM.

  6. Select Save.

  7. Optionally, visit your Vagaro Listing Page to preview what your customers will see, and update your information as needed.
