Vagaro’s Contactless Checkout feature allows customers to tip and sign for their transaction directly on their phone, helping reduce physical contact with business devices while delivering a smooth, professional checkout experience.
To send a contactless checkout, the customer must first dip, tap, or swipe their card using a Vagaro Credit Card Reader, PayPro Mini (not connected to a computer), or add a Card on File. Once the card is processed, the option to send a contactless checkout will appear.
This option is not available for payments processed through Tap to Phone.
Important
Make sure the customer finishes the Contactless Checkout before they leave your business. If the transaction is not finished on the customer's end, it will be canceled.
Prerequisites: This feature requires Credit Card Processing and requires a Vagaro Credit Card Reader.
To set up contactless checkout:

Select Checkout

Go to your Checkout Settings:

On a Phone: Select the Settings
button in the top-right corner.

On the Web, Tablet, or Pay Desk: Select Down-arrow
in the bottom-right corner, then Checkout Settings.

Toggle Contactless Checkout.

Select Save.
To check out a customer on their device:

Select Checkout
, or check out the customer directly from the Calendar.

Select a customer and add items to their shopping cart. For existing appointments or classes, the customer is already selected and ready for checkout.

Charge the customer's card with the Vagaro Credit Card Reader.

In the popup, select Contactless Checkout.

Send the checkout to the customer. You'll have the option to send via text or email, or have the customer scan the QR code on your screen.

If you sent the checkout via text or email, ask them to open the link sent to their device; otherwise, scan the QR code to open the Checkout screen on their device.
Once the customer completes the transaction, you'll see that the checkout was successful on your device.

On the tip screen, can I edit what I want the clients to see? Instead of % I want to show dollar amounts.

Hi Barbara: I'm sorry, but tipping is set up to be a percentage only. However, in a regular checkout and in the COVID-Clean checkout there is an option for a custom tip amount, where you or your customer (in the COVID checkout) can add a specific dollar amount. This should meet your request for the "OTHER" tip amount.
It stopped working. I don't get pop up anymore to check out with covid clean even though it's turned on. This happened after the new iOS and macOS update. Please have it fixed.
