Inventory by Status Report

The Inventory by Status report is used to track all the products in your inventory by status, including purchased, lost items, damaged, expired, products set for business use only, and products that are unsold.

Prerequisites: This feature is available for all Vagaro businesses.

On a Phone

To run the Inventory by Status report:

  1. Select More This is an icon used to go to the More initial navigation step on the Vagaro website and the Vagaro Pro app. → Reports → Inventory by Status.

    The report will automatically run this month's data for purchased products.

  2. At the top of the screen, select the Date Range to report on. The report updates automatically each time you change the date range.

  3. To filter your report, select Filter settings.png, change the following filters as needed, and then select Run Report.

    • Status: Filter products that were marked as, for example, Lost, Damaged, or Unsold during date range:

      Note

      A product's status can change by manually decreasing its quantity or selling it online and in-house.

    • Brand: Filter the report for one brand.

    • Product Category: Filter the report for one product category. The options available depend on the brand selected.

    • Product: Filter the report for one product. The options available depend on the brand or product selected.

    • Vendor: Filter the report for one vendor.

  4. Optionally, to export your report, select Action Three vertically stacked circles, representing a menu or more options icon., then choose an option:

    • Print: Print your report if your device is connected to a printer.

    • Export PDF or Export Excel: Save the report to a PDF or Excel file.

On a Computer, Tablet, Pay Desk, or PayPro

To run the Inventory by Status report:

  1. Select Reports Decorative solid black rectangle, which is usually an icon for reports or charts. → Inventory by Status.

    The report will automatically run this month's data for purchased products.

  2. Optionally, set any of the following, then select Run Report.

    • Date Range: Show a specific time range.

    • Status: Filter products that were marked as, for example, Lost, Damaged, or Unsold during date range:

    • Brand: Filter the report for one brand.

    • Advanced Filters: Optionally, select any additional filters to further refine the report.

      • Product Category: Filter the report for one product category. The options available depend on the brand selected.

      • Product: Filter the report for one product. The options available depend on the brand or product selected.

      • Vendor: Filter the report for one vendor.

  3. To export or print this report, select an option in the bottom-right corner:

    • Print printer_icon.png: Get a hard copy of the report.

    • Export download_icon.png: Save the report to an Excel or PDF file (web version only).

What's in This Report?

The Inventory by Status report provides the following information:

  • Brand: The company or name that makes the product.

  • Vendor: The merchant or company that supplies the product.

  • Product Category: The group name of similar or related items that you've organized your products into.

  • Qty: The total number of items of that product you have in your inventory, regardless of their intended use.

  • Low Qty: The low quantity warning you set for each product.

  • Business Cost: The total business cost for each product

  • Potential Sale: The potential revenue if you sold the entire stock for this product.

  • Profit Margins (%): The profit percentage that your business made based on how many items you sold to customers and how much that quantity cost your business to purchase.
