Run the Sales by Brand Report

The Sales by Brand report shows total profit earned for all the product brands you sell in Vagaro. You can use a variety of filters to narrow the report, export the sales list to Excel or PDF, and print a copy for your records.

This report shows the following information about the sales, condition, and status of the selected product for a selected brand:

  • Quantity: How many items were sold.

  • Business Cost: How much your business pays to stock a product.

  • Sales Price: The price you sell the product to customers.

  • Profit: The difference between the sales price and business cost that your business keeps.

  • Profit Margins (%): The profit percentage that your business made based on how many items you sold to customers and how much that quantity cost your business to purchase.

  • Points Redeemed: The total number of points that all customers redeemed to purchase that item.

Prerequisites: This feature is available for all Vagaro businesses.

On a Phone

To run the Sales by Brand inventory report:

  1. Select More This is an icon used to go to the More initial navigation step on the Vagaro website and the Vagaro Pro app. → Reports → Sales by Brand.

  2. At the top of the screen, select the Date Range to report on. The report updates automatically each time you change the date range.

  3. Optionally, in the top-right corner, select Filters filters_icon_2x.png, set any of the following filters, and then select Run Report.

    • Brand: Show data on a specific brand.

    • Product Category: Show data on a specific product category. The options available depend on the brand selected.

    • Product: Show data on a specific product. The options available depend on the brand or product selected.

    • Sort By: Reorder the report.

  4. Optionally, in the top-right corner, select Action Three vertically stacked circles, representing a menu or more options icon., then:

    • Select Star or Remove Star to bookmark or unbookmark.

    • Select Print to get a hard copy of the report.

    • Select Export PDF or Export Excel to download this report.

On a Computer, Tablet, Pay Desk, or PayPro

To run the Sales by Brand inventory report:

  1. Select Reports Decorative solid black rectangle, which is usually an icon for reports or charts. → Sales by Brand.

  2. Set the date range for your report:

    1. In the top-right corner, select Date Range calendar-regular-full.png to open the date picker.

    2. Use the date picker to choose a date range or a preset range like Yesterday or Last 7 Days.

    3. If you manually selected a date range, select Submit.

  3. Optionally, in the top-right corner, select Filters filter-solid-full.png, set any of the following filters, and then select Run Report.

    • Brand: Show data on a specific brand.

    • Product Category: Show data on a specific product category. The options available depend on the brand selected.

    • Product: Show data on a specific product. The options available depend on the brand or product selected.

  4. Optionally, sort, print, or export the report:

    • Select a column header to sort the report.

    • Select Print print-solid-full.png to get a hard copy of the report.

    • Select Export download2.png to save the report to an Excel or PDF file (computer version only).

    Since the re-format of this report (and the Sales by Product report), I am just now finding that when I click on a specific Brand (or item in the Sales by Product report) to get a more details, the Sales Price (listed only as “Price” in the detailed report) is not populating (all line items say $0.00). I tried multiple permutations all to the same result. For Future Reference, is this kind of thing better to report in a comment here or as a service ticket?
