The Sales by Category report is used to show you the total profit you're earning for each product that is sold, per product category. You can also see the profit margin percentage and points that were redeemed during the sales.
Prerequisites: This feature is available for all Vagaro businesses.
To run the Sales By Category inventory report:

Select → → .
The report will automatically run this month's data with no filters.

At the top of the screen, select the Date Range to report on. The report updates automatically each time you change the date range.

To filter your report, select Filter
, change the following filters as needed, and then select Run Report.

Brand: Filter the report for one brand.

Product Category: Filter the report for one product category. The options available depend on the brand selected.

Product: Filter the report for one product. The options available depend on the brand or product selected.

Sort By: Select the order in which to show the report's results.

Optionally, to export your report, select Action
, then choose an option:

Print: Print your report if your device is connected to a printer.

Export PDF or Export Excel: Save the report to a PDF or Excel file.

To sort your report, select the column headers.

To export or print this report, select an option in the bottom-right corner:

Print
: Get a hard copy of the report.

Export
: Save the report to an Excel or PDF file (web version only).

This report shows the following information about the selected product categories (and/or selected product[s]) for the selected brand(s).

Category: The product categories selected for the report.

Quantity: How many items customers purchased.
-
Business Cost: How much your business pays to purchase that item from a vendor to sell to or use.

Sales Price: How much you sell that item to customers for.
-
Profit: The difference between the sales price and business cost that your business keeps.
-
Profit Margins (%): The profit percentage that your business made based on how many items you sold to customers and how much that quantity cost your business to purchase.

Points Redeemed: The total number of points that all customers redeemed to purchase that item.
