Terminations are created when an employee is scheduled to leave the company. Employees who take an extended leave cannot be suspended from your payroll, so you can either skip or exclude them for each payroll they're away, or you can remove them and then rehire them again when they return.
If or when you rehire an employee, they will not have to onboard again or re-sign any forms.
There are two ways you can give an employee their final paycheck when you dismiss them:
-
Dismissal payroll: Pay the terminated employee immediately in an off-cycle payroll. The paycheck is calculated based on pay period and your payroll settings.
-
Regular payroll: Pay the terminated employee on the next pay period during regular payroll.
Tip
After you remove an employee from your payroll, you can reduce your number of Vagaro licenses by deleting their Employee Profile.
