Delete or Restore Services, Service Bundles, and Service Categories – Vagaro Support

Organize your services, service bundles, and service categories by deleting them from your menu and removing items that are no longer being booked. As a reminder, services are individual offerings that an employee provides to a single customer. Service bundles consist of two different services performed at different times. A service category groups related services together on your menu.

If you change your mind and want to restore any deleted items, you can restore them in bulk by selecting a start date to restore all services, bundles, and categories deleted from that date through today. Keep in mind that you can only restore items in bulk, not individually.

Note

The earliest date you can restore a service is November 22, 2022.

Prerequisites: This feature is available for all Vagaro businesses.

Delete a Service

If you no longer want to offer a service at your business and don't plan to bring it back, you can delete it completely from your service menu.

On a Phone

To delete a service:

Select More → Settings → Service/Class Menu.
Select Services.
Select the service to remove, and then select Delete.
In the confirmation popup, select Delete Service.
If one of the services being deleted is associated with a gift card, membership, package, and so on, acknowledge that you understand that deleting this service may affect your customers who've purchased these items.

On a Computer, Tablet, Pay Desk, or PayPro

To delete a service:

Select Settings → Service/Class Menu.

Your service menu appears.
Select the Action menu of the service to delete, and select Delete.
Select Delete Service.
Optionally, if one of the services being deleted is associated with a gift card, membership, package, and so on, acknowledge that you understand that deleting this service may affect your customers who've purchased these items.

Delete a Service Bundle

If you no longer want to offer a service bundle, you can delete it from your service menu without affecting the services that were bundled together.

On a Phone

To delete a service bundle:

Select More → Settings → Service/Class Menu.
Select Services.
Find the service bundle you want to delete, select it, and then select Delete.
In the confirmation popoup, select Yes.
If one of the service bundles being deleted is associated with a gift card, membership, package, and so on, acknowledge that you understand that deleting this service may affect your customers who've purchased these items.

On a Computer, Tablet, Pay Desk, or PayPro

To delete a service bundle:

Select Settings → Service/Class Menu.

Your service menu appears.
Find the service bundle you want to delete, select the Action menu, and select Delete.
Select Delete Service Bundle.
If one of the service bundles being deleted is associated with a gift card, membership, package, and so on, acknowledge that you understand that deleting this service may affect your customers who've purchased these items.

Delete a Service Category

Delete a Service Category to remove it from your Service Menu entirely. If the service category has services nested inside of it, you'll have the option to delete just the category or all services within it.

On a Phone

To delete a service:

Select More → Settings → Service/Class Menu.
Select Services.
Find the service category you want to delete, select it, and then select Delete.
Depending on whether the service category has services with it, different options will appear:
- If the category has multiple services within it, select either to Delete Category and Contents or just Delete Category. Deleting just the category will move all the services to the category above in your menu.
- If the category has no services, select Delete Service.
If one of the services being deleted is associated with a gift card, membership, package, and so on, acknowledge that you understand that deleting this service may affect your customers who've purchased these items.

On a Computer, Tablet, Pay Desk, or PayPro

To delete a service:

Select Settings → Service/Class Menu.

Your service menu appears.
Select the Action menu for the category to be deleted, and select Delete.
In the popup, which depends on whether the category has services, select and confirm the action.
- If the category has multiple services within it, you'll have the option to either Delete category and all services or service bundles within it or Delete category. Deleting just the category will move all the services to the category above in your menu.
- If the category has no services, select Delete Category.
Optionally, if one of the services being deleted is associated with a gift card, membership, package, and so on, acknowledge that you understand that deleting this service may affect your customers who've purchased these items.

Restore a Deleted Service, Bundle, or Category

If you change your mind about deleting a service, bundle, or category, you can restore it.

On a Phone

To restore a service:

Select More → Settings → Service/Class Menu.
Select Services.
In the top-right corner, select the Action menu, then select Restore Deleted Services.
Select the starting date for when you want to restore services.

Note

All services deleted from the date you selected until today will be restored.
Select Proceed.

On a Computer, Tablet, Pay Desk, or PayPro

To restore a service:

Select Settings → Service/Class Menu.

Your service menu appears.
Select the Edit list, then select Restore Deleted Services.
Select the Calendar button, then select a starting date.

Note

All services deleted from the date you selected until today will be restored.
Select Proceed
