Packages allow you to sell a set number of visits and products in a single purchase that the customer can book or redeem later. You can optionally create auto-renewing packages for when they expire or or used up, give discounts for initial payments, and even allow them to be shared with family and friends. Depending on your settings, customers can buy your packages in-house, in the Vagaro Check-In app, on your Vagaro Listing Page, and on your MySite.
Prerequisites: This feature is available for all Vagaro businesses on the web, tablet, Pay Desk, and PayPro. Optionally, Credit Card Processing is required to set up auto-renewing packages.
To add a new or auto-renewing package:

Select New Package.

Provide the following information about the package:

Package Name: Enter a name for the package.

Description: Enter a description for the package that explains what is included or any perks it provides.

Price: Enter the cost of the package to purchase. If Price (with Tax) is enabled, the price will be automatically calculated and shown.

Tax: Optionally, select a tax rate to apply to the purchase of the package.

Price (with Tax): Enter the price of the package with tax included. The Price will automatically be calculated and shown. To view or hide this field, go to the Taxes & Checkout screen and toggle the Included Tax in Online Pricing setting.

Reward Points: Optionally, if your business has a loyalty program, enter the number of points customers will earn for purchasing the package.

Charge Frequency: Select how often customers will have to pay to keep the package active or to automatically renew it. (See below)

Select the options for the package.

Auto Renew: Whether to allow auto-renewal of the package after the billing period ends. Also select the Charge Frequency to specify how often the package will automatically renew, the maximum Auto Renew Limit, and whether to Carry Balance Forward if there are any unused visits or repurchased products at the end of the billing period. This setting requires Credit Card Processing.

Discount Initial Payments: Whether customers can purchase the package at a lower price or for a specific number of billing cycles, after which the full price will be charged. Enter the Discount as a monetary amount ($/£) or percentage (%), and optionally enter the number of Billing Cycles that the discount will apply to.

Show Package Online: Whether to show the package on your Vagaro Listing Page and booking widget. This requires the Online Shopping Cart. You can also choose whether to Suggest as Upsell When Booking a Participating Service or Class to recommend other services, classes, products, and add-ons that customers can also purchase with the package.

Allow Package to be Shared with Family and Friends: Whether a customer's specified friends and family are also allowed to use the package.

Relationship: How the friend or family is related to the member.

Maximum Number of Family & Friends: How many friends or family members in a customer's Family or Friends lists who can also use this package. Up to 10 additional users can shared a package.

Add the services, classes, add-ons, and/or products that the package can be used for.

Select Save.

Optionally, to change the order that the package appears on the screen, select the Change Order button, select the package to move, then select the Up
and Down
buttons to change its order.
To add services, classes, and add-ons to a package:

Go to → → .

Add a new package or edit an existing one, then scroll to the bottom of the screen.

On the Services/Classes/Add-Ons tab, select Add.

In the Select Services or Classes or Add-Ons popup, choose the items to include in the package, then select Add.

Optionally, group multiple services, classes, and add-ons into one line item, so that all items in the group have the same number of visits, instead of having to set up individual items.

If you've already added items, select the checkbox for each item to add to the group, select Group, then select Group in the confirmation popup.
Alternatively, select Add to include all items or update the list, and then select Group. The items are combined into one row.

To update the items in a group, select any of the group's items, modify your choices, then select Create Group.

To separate a group and show items individually, select the group's checkbox, select Ungroup, then select Ungroup in the confirmation popup. All items will appear in their own line with the same number of visits or quantities

To remove a group, select the group's checkbox, then select Delete. Select Delete in the confirmation popup.

Specify the number of Visits offered for each item. You can select Unlimited to give the customer unlimited visits.

Select Save.
To add products to a package:

Go to → → .

On the Products tab, select Add Product.

In the popup, choose the products for the package, then select Add.

Specify the Quantity offered for each item in the package. You can select Unlimited to give the customer unlimited products.

If you are creating a new package with settings and benefits similar to another one, you can copy the existing package and then modify the settings of the new one.

What happened to the ability to put an expiration date on a package?
Hi Mike, you can set an expiration for a package from your Online Shopping Cart settings or when checking out a package.
