What happened to the ability to put an expiration date on a package?

Hi Mike, you can set an expiration for a package from your Online Shopping Cart settings or when checking out a package.

    Thanks, Jamie

Can you not have different expiration dates for different packages? Is there a way to e.g., have a package that has 12 classes but you have to use 1 class a month (so no rollover)?

    Hi Chris,

For your first question, yes, you can set a different expiration date for each package you create. You can also enter a different expiration date when selling the package in-house.

For your second question, it depends on how your business is set up. For example, you could do one of the following:

    Option 1:
Create a package that renews or expires after 12 months. Within that package, add each class with one visit each. This allows the customer to skip a month and book two classes in a different month so that may not be what you want

    Option 2:
Create a package that renews every month with an Auto Renew Limit of "12". In this case, group all 12 classes together and assign one visit to that group. This setup allows the customer to book one class per month and pay for the package on a monthly basis up until the 12th month.

Let me know if you’d like help deciding which option works best for your setup.

If there are multiple different priced services in a bundle how do employees get paid? Is the money just equally split between the visits regardless of the service?

    Hi Katherine,

For packages, payment is collected upfront, so the account owner receives the full payment. If the customer later redeems the package for an in-person service with a provider, that provider does not receive any of those funds. You can either:

    1. Manually give your employees money whenever the package is used. This would have to be done outside of Vagaro.

    2. Set up a commission for services.

    3. Give package sales to employees; however, that money will only go to the employee who sold it to the customer, and cannot be divided among multiple employees.

    Thanks, Jamie
