Adding cleanup time at the end of services gives your service providers time to tidy up and prepare for their next one. Cleanup time can also be adjusted when booking in-house and on the Calendar after an appointment has already been booked.
Services with cleanup time are shown on the Calendar with a darkened bar at the end of the timeslot. Selecting the service on the calendar will show the amount of cleanup time added.
To see and compare how much time in total has been allotted for Cleanup Time, run the Booking Percentage report.
Prerequisites: This feature is available for all Vagaro businesses. At least one service and/or service bundle must already be added to your Service/Class Menu.
To add cleanup time to your service, you'll need to make changes to each service in your Service/Class Menu.
To add or change cleanup time after a service:
Even if a service includes time, you'll need to enter the cleanup time again when adding it to a service bundle. The system doesn't automatically carry over the cleanup time from the original service.
To add or modify the cleanup time for a service bundle:

Select the service bundle, then select Edit.

Next to the Cleanup Time of the service you want to edit, select 0 min. If a value is already set, select that instead.

Using the spinners, select the duration, up to 120 minutes, then select Done.

Optionally, add cleanup time to other services in the bundle.

Update any other details, then select Save.
Cleanup time can be edited from the Calendar. Changing an appointment's cleanup time will not affect the default cleanup time for that service. Cleanup time can only be added to services that already have cleanup time configured in your menu.
To edit cleanup time from the calendar:

Go to the Calendar
screen, then select the calendar you want to view.

Find the appointment.

Select the appointment on the calendar to open its details, then select Edit.

If the appointment repeats, choose to Edit this Occurrence or Edit the Series.

In your appointment details, select → .

Adjust the durationAdj, up to 120 minutes, then select → .

Update any other details, then select Save.
To edit cleanup time from the calendar:

Go to the Calendar
screen, then select the calendar you want to view.

Find the appointment.

Select the appointment on the calendar to open its details, then select Edit.

If the appointment repeats , choose to Edit this Occurrence or Edit the Series, then select Edit Booking.

In the appointment details, select the box under Duration, adjust the Cleanup Time, and then select Apply.

Update any other details, then select Save.
By default, cleanup time is added after each service booked on your calendar. However, when a customer books multiple services back-to-back, this can result in unnecessary cleanup time between those services. To prevent this, you can update your Online Appointment Rules to apply a single cleanup slot at the end of all services, helping you make more efficient use of your time.
To set up cleanup time preferences:

Go to Cleanup Time Preferences and choose an option:

Use Longest Cleanup at the End: Adds a single cleanup slot after the final service in a multi-service booking. Only the longest cleanup time from the grouped services is applied at the end of the booking.
Note
This setting applies only to online bookings for a single customer. It does not affect classes, in-house bookings, or service bundles. If the appointments are booked separately or by multiple customers close together, this setting won’t apply. As a workaround, you can manually adjust the cleanup time in these scenarios.

Apply After Each Service (Default): Cleanup time will be added to the end of each service.
