Creating a discount to promote your services and classes can help increase customer spending, maintain customer loyalty, advertise your business, and even attract new customers. Discounts are applied at checkout both in-house by employees at checkout and online by customers with a promo code. You can also combine discounts for services, classes, their add-ons, and products to create a single discount.
Note
Discounts do not apply to fees.
Prerequisites: This feature is only available for all businesses on the web, tablet, and Pay Desk. Promo codes require Credit Card Processing and the Online Shopping Cart.
To create a discount for services and classes:

Create or copy an existing discount.

To create a discount, select Add Discount.

To copy an existing discount to create a new one, scroll down to the list of discounts, select the Action menu of a discount, and then select Duplicate.

Enter the Discount Name and a Description, and then select the Date & Time you want to make the discount available to customers.

To configure, select the following options as required:

Discount Has an Expiration Date: Whether the discount will expire. If so, also select the Expiration Date & Time that the discount will no longer be available.

Create Promotion Code for Online Shopping Cart: Whether to create a corresponding promo code that customers can apply online when they make a purchase on your Vagaro Listing Page.
Note
An online deposit is required to be able to allow customers to enter a promo code for services and classes.

Limit Total Number of Uses: Whether a discount can be used by only a limited number of customers. If so, also enter the Total Number of Uses. For example, you may want to offer the discount to only the first 100 customers who book with you.

Limit to One Use Per Person: Whether you want each customer to be able to use the discount only once.

Minimum Purchase Amount: Whether to require a minimum purchase amount before the discount can be used.

Access Level Required to Offer Discount: Whether to limit which employee access levels can offer and redeem discounts.

Select who the Discount will be redeemable by:

Existing Customers: Allow the discount to only be used by customers in your Customer List.

New Customers: Allow the discount to be used only by customers not in your Customer List.

Employees: Allow your employees to use this discount for personal purchases. The discount will only apply if the employee's profile is selected as a customer during checkout. For example, you can create an employee discount for products and services at your business.

If you didn't select New Customers, the option to Offer to customers with the following tags will display. You can select from the available customer tags to limit this discount to the customers that are eligible.

Select what items the Discount will be applied to:

Single Applicable Item in Cart: The discount will apply to the highest-priced item that's eligible in the customer’s shopping cart.

All Applicable Items in Cart: The discount will apply to all eligible items in the customer's shopping cart.

At Select Discount Type, select the Services/Classes/Add-Ons tab.

Select the items that the discount can be applied to.

Select whether the discount is Offered by all or specific employees.

Select Add.

In the Select Services/Classes/Add-Ons popup, select the categories and/or items that the discount can be applied to.

Select Add or Create Group to group multiple items together for a mass discount, and close the popup.

In the Services/Classes/Add-Ons list, enter the Discount amount or percentage. The final Price of the membership or package will update based on the discount you set.

Repeat this step to add more discounts for services and classes.

To remove a discount, select the checkbox beside the discount, select Delete, and then confirm that you want to Delete it.

Select Save.

On the Discounts screen, verify that the status of the discount is Active.
