Creating broader services with specific add-ons can diversify your offerings for your customers. For example, creating a service for a Men’s Haircut and applying add-ons for a beard trim, full shave, or hot towel can reduce your menu by three different services. Using this method, customers will spend less time scouring your menu for the specific service they want and customize booking to their needs. You can also use add-ons to suggest additional services that customers may have overlooked on your menu.
When setting up add-ons for your business, you'll need to add your add-ons to add-on categories. Add-on categories organize and manage add-ons into one group.
Prerequisites: This feature is available for all Vagaro businesses with at least one service or class added to your Service/Class menu.
When customers book appointments online, they will see all add-on categories and add-ons assigned to that service or class. When creating add-on categories, you can also set booking requirements, such as requiring an add-on selection.

-
Go to Services or Classes.
→ → → , then select -

-
Under From this category, customers can select, choose an option:
-
One Add-On: The customer can select only one add-on from the add-on category when booking online or through in-house checkout.

Is there a way for client's to not pay for add ons at the time of booking and instead, when they checkout?
Hi Kimberly,
At the moment, there isn't a way to do this. You can turn Show Online to Hide to remove add-ons from the online experience. However, you will need to apply the add-on at checkout manually.
We have a feature request page that you can use to request this feature: https://feedback.vagaro.com/forums/915991-feature-requests.
Thanks,
Jamie
How do you move a service from add on to another category section without deleting the service?
Hi NeCole,
Add-ons can only be added to Add-on categories and can't be grouped with other services. I hope I understood your question correctly.
Thanks, Jamie
I have a service that is under add on category. It should not be and add on. It is an individual service. I need to move it ti its correct category. It seems like I can not do that without deleting the entire service.
Hi NeCole,
If that's the case, you'll need to delete the Add-On and create a new service. This service might be in the Add-On category because you converted a Service to an Add-On, and this can't be reverted.
If deleting the add-on is an issue for your business, I recommend contacting our Support Team to resolve the issue better.
Thanks, Jamie
