Every pharmacy connected to the E-Prescribe electronic prescribing network can be searched for and found. You can send an electronic prescription to any pharmacy you find. With that said, not all pharmacies are able to receive all types of electronic prescription orders. For example, not all pharmacies can receive controlled prescriptions or receive Compound medication orders.
When searching for a medication, the service levels (the types of prescription messages that a pharmacy can send and receive) will be shown. The possible pharmacy service levels are below. If the service is present, the pharmacy can receive that type of prescription or has that service level.

Note
Patients may provide you, and a web search may show, different data for a pharmacy than what the pharmacies have submitted to the electronic network. E-Prescribe updates its pharmacy data daily, ensuring the most current and accurate information.
If you can't find a pharmacy, consider the following:
-
Search both abbreviations and non-abbreviations (e.g., St. Louis or Saint Louis).
-
Account for variations in address formats (e.g., 123 East Street may also be listed as 123 E Street or 123 E. Street).
-
Pay attention to official names and formatting (e.g., "CVS/pharmacy" requires the slash, and "Walgreens Drug Store" distinguishes it from Walmart).
-
If the pharmacy is still not found, consider reaching out to them directly for their NCPDPID.
Mail-order facilities, such as Express Scripts, are included in E-Prescribe. Search "EXPRESS SCRIPTS" in the pharmacy name field to locate them.
Prerequisites: This feature requires E-Prescribe.
