The Check-In App allows customers to quickly check in for their services and classes by just scanning their Vagaro QR code or selecting their name on one of your kiosks. As long as they have a customer profile at your business and a Vagaro account, they won't have to interact with any of your employees to check in, allowing you to spend more time with other clients and taking care of your business. Customers can also book future appointments, purchase memberships at your kiosks, and even book appointments or register for classes shortly before they start (make sure you reduce your Appointment Lead Time and Class Lead Time in the Online Appointment Rules screen). For reporting purposes, you can run the Check-In Log report on any device to see a list of which customers checked in, when they did, and at which of your kiosks.

Prerequisites: This feature is available only on tablets. Customers must have a customer profile at your business. For customers to scan their QR code to check-in, they must have the Vagaro customer app already downloaded on their mobile device.
Although the Check-In app can be downloaded only on a tablet, it can be activated on any device in the Vagaro Pro app, on the web, or in the Check-In app itself.
To activate the Vagaro Check-In app:

Go to Check-In App.

If you're activating the Check-In app on a tablet in the app, you will need to log in first.

Select Get Started to activate the feature.

Configure the Check-In app's settings.

Color Theme: Select a color for the buttons to display in the app.

Logo: Select your business logo to show on the Check-In app's home screen. If you already selected an image, the app will automatically select it; otherwise, you can add in the app or change it by selecting the Logo image.

Automatically Return to Home: Select how long the kiosk can be idle before showing the home screen again. You can select 15, 30, 60, or 90 seconds.

Allow Customers to Check-In After Class: Whether customers can check in even after a class has ended, and how long afterward they can still do so.

Play Sound: Whether to play a sound if a customer's action was Success performed, such as checking in or purchasing a membership, or a Failure, such as not being able to check in or payment for a membership was not approved. You can also select None to not play any sound for either event.

Membership Purchase: Whether you require customers to have a membership when they book an appointment or register for a class at a kiosk by selecting one of the following options:

None: Your customers can book appointments or register for classes at a kiosk without needing a membership.

Required: Customers who try to book an appointment or sign up for a class but don't have a membership will be prompted to purchase one at the kiosk. If you select this option, also choose whether to Prompt to scan membership card after purchase, which requires you to provide plastic membership cards for your customers to scan.

Optional: Customers don't require a membership when checking in, but they will be presented with a list of your memberships they can purchase right away at the kiosk, or Skip this screen and complete their check-in.

Membership Required to Check-In: Whether you require your customers to have an active membership to check in at a kiosk and to prompt customers who don't have a membership to purchase one in the Check-In app. If this switch is toggled on, you can also enter a Message to Customers with Inactive Memberships (optional) and whether to Allow Customers to Purchase or Renew Memberships.

Display a Custom Message After Customer Check-In: Whether to show a custom Message After Check-In, which can contain any notes or announcements you want to tell customers before the class starts.

Confirm Customer Mobile Number During Check-In: Whether to prompt the customer to enter their phone number after they've checked in so they can be notified when the class begins.

Hide Customer List Upon Check-In: Whether to allow customers to check in by selecting their name in a list of attendees.

If this toggle is switched on, customers will be prompted to enter their email address and password to check in.

If this toggle is switched off, customers can search for and select their name in the list to check in, but they still must also enter their password.

Kiosk Management: Rename or delete a kiosk that has already been set up.

Select Save.
To download the Check-In app on your tablet:

Go to your device's app store to get the Vagaro Check-In app.

On an Apple device (iPhone or iPad): Open the Apple App Store.

On an Android device: Open the Google Play Store.

When the app has been installed, select Open.

If prompted, allow Vagaro to access your device's camera.
To update the Check-In app's settings:
When you deactivate the Check-In app, which can be performed in Vagaro Pro or in the app itself, it will no longer work on your kiosk tablets, and you will no longer be charged. You can reactivate the Check-In app at any time.
To deactivate the Check-In app in Vagaro Pro:

Do I have to order membership cards for my business for the Vargaro check in app, or can I create my own keychains and QR codes? Can I program the Vargaro check in app and the Vargaro scanner to recognized my own generated QR codes for my customers?
