After you create a promo code in the Discounts screen, you can add it to a text marketing message to send to your customers to apply toward purchases on the Vagaro Listing Page. You can later run the Transaction List report to see how many customers have used your promo code or discount.
If the customer is receiving a text message from you for the first time, they will be given the option to opt out of marketing related messages from your business.
Prerequisites: This feature requires Text Marketing.
To text a promo code to your customers:

Go to

Select Create Campaign.

Under the Select Delivery Method heading, select Text.

Select your text message settings, then select Create Text.

In the Create Text Message screen, select Compose Text Message box to enter the content of your text, along with the promo code, then select Next.
To make it easier to write your message:

Select Enhance with AI to automatically generate your text message. You can update and regenerate the text as needed.

Personalize your text messages by selecting Insert First Name or Insert First & Last to insert template fields that will automatically fill in the customer's name when the message is sent.

Select Insert Link, scroll down to Promo Code, then select the promo code to add to your message.

Review your text message.

To return to editing your message, select the Back (<) button in the top-left corner of the screen.

If you're not ready to send the text message to your audience, select Save in the top-right corner of the screen.

Optionally, select Send Text Preview to send the text message to yourself to see what your audience will receive.
Note
Each preview you send will count towards your text messaging plan.

Select Next.

Send your campaign.

Select when you'll send your text messages:

Send Now: Send this campaign as soon as you announce it. You can also toggle Facebook to connect your Facebook account to Vagaro and post your campaigns on your page.

Schedule: Select Date & Time to choose when you want to send this text campaign.

Select the checkbox to acknowledge that your messages cannot be modified once they have been sent.

Select Announce.

To text a promo code to your customers:

Go to Marketing.

On the Web: Select Marketing in the top menu.

On a Tablet, Pay Desk, or PayPro: Select Marketing at the bottom of the screen.

In the Email & Text Marketing tile, select Create Campaign.

In the marketing dashboard, select Create Campaign.

In the New Campaign screen next to Select Delivery Method, select Text.

Select your text message settings, then select Next.

In the campaign builder, compose a text message for the campaign. A text preview will display on the right side of the screen. The text cannot exceed 306 characters.

Select the Vagaro AI button to enhance your message with AI.

Select Insert Link to automatically insert the promo code into the message.
Note
Adding links to your campaigns allows for tracking the click-through rate and how many customers booked through the link. These metrics are only tracked for Vagaro links; Vagaro will not track clicks to external websites outside of Vagaro.

Optionally, to see what your text will look like on your phone, select Send Text Preview:

Select Send Text Preview.

In the Send Text Preview popup, enter one or more phone numbers, separated by commas, to send the preview to, then select Send.

Each preview you send will count towards your text messaging plan.

Agree to the acknowledgment, then select Announce.
Tip
You can save a draft of your campaign by selecting Save for Later instead of announcing it right away.
