Add an Image or GIF to a Text Campaign

Make your campaigns more eye-catching by adding an image or GIF to them. Adding media to your campaign increases the character limit to 1,600 and incurs an additional cost of three credits in the United States and Canada, or 15 credits in Australia. Images and GIFs do not count towards the character limit and must be under 5 MB in size and in PNG, JPEG, or GIF format.

Prerequisites: This feature is not available in the United Kingdom and requires a text marketing plan with an approved phone number.

On a Phone

To add an image to your message:

  1. Select More This is an icon used to go to the More initial navigation step on the Vagaro website and the Vagaro Pro app. → Email & Text Marketing → Create Campaign.

  2. Under Select Delivery Method, select Text.

  3. Enter a Text Campaign Name. This name is used to label your campaign and is not shown to customers.

  4. Configure your campaign settings based on one of the following campaign types, then select Next.

  5. Choose who your campaign will be sent to, then select Create Text. Creating a Text Blast will give you more options to filter down your recipients.

  6. Select the Compose Message textbox, then add one image or GIF to your message:

    • To add an image, select image-regular.png Image, then choose a photo from your Photo Library or Business Gallery, or upload a new one from your Camera.

      Tip

      Choosing an image from your Business Gallery shows previously uploaded images from your campaigns (Announcements), Services (Services), Venue Gallery (SlideShow), and Portfolio (Style).

    • To add a GIF, select gif-regular.png GIF and choose one.

  7. Preview and announce your message:

    1. Preview your message. Optionally, to send a preview to yourself, select Send Text Preview.

      Important

      Sending a preview to yourself will use credits from your text plan.

    2. Select Next.

    3. Choose when you're message will send, confirm that you've reviewed your message, and then select Announce.

On a Computer, Tablet, Pay Desk, or PayPro

To add an image to your message:

  1. Go to Marketing megaphone_icon.png, then select Create Campaign under Email & Text Marketing.

  2. On the marketing dashboard, select Create Campaign.

  3. Next to Select Delivery Method, select Text.

  4. Enter a Campaign Text Subject. This subject is used to label your campaign and is not shown to customers.

  5. Configure your campaign settings based on one of the following campaign types, then select Next.

  6. In the Compose Text box, add one image or GIF to your message:

    • To add an image, select the Image image-regular.png button, then choose an image or select Upload Image to add a new one. Select Insert to add the image to your message.

      Tip

      In the left side of Image Gallery, notice how there are five image folders. Each folder contains previously uploaded images from your campaigns (Announcements), Services (Services), Venue Gallery (SlideShow), Portfolio (Style), and so on.

    • To add a GIF, select the GIF gif-regular.png button, then choose one.

  7. Compose the rest of your message. A preview of your message will appear on the right as you write it.

    To send a preview to yourself, select Send Text Preview.

    Important

    Sending a preview to yourself will use credits from your text plan.

  8. Confirm that you've reviewed your campaign, then select Announce.
