Vagaro lets you easily import and transfer your information from one Vagaro business to another.
Whether you’re opening a new location, joining a new business, or handing off operations as you close down, you can seamlessly move your services, classes, customers, customer notes, future appointments, and Vagaro Drive files to your new account.

When you just want to share customer profiles with another Vagaro business, you can copy over customer contact info, notes, and any attached Vagaro Drive files. The customer data is duplicated in the other account and remains in your own system.

Vagaro-to-Vagaro Import: Transfer an Employee Who's Starting Their Own Business
If an employee is leaving to open their own business, the business account owner can create the new business in Vagaro and transfer over the employee’s customers, contact details, notes, appointments, services, and classes.

When an employee joins an existing Vagaro business, the current owner can transfer the employee’s customers, appointment data, Vagaro Drive files, service menu, and other relevant information.

Vagaro-to-Vagaro Import: Transfer Your Data From a Previous Employer on Vagaro
Employees who have moved to a new Vagaro business can log into the account and request a transfer of their reviews, menu, contact information, notes, files, etc. They choose which items to bring over when confirming the request.

Contact customers: Employees moving appointments to a different or new (their own) Vagaro business must contact their customers with appointments to inform them of the change. They can use a text or email marketing campaign to notify their customers.

Inactive or suspended target business: If you request the transfer to occur on a date in the future, be aware that if the target business becomes inactive or suspended (due to non-payment, for example), the transfer will not go through.

Free trial vs. paying businesses: In Vagaro-to-Vagaro Import: Transfer an Employee Who's Starting Their Own Business, where the transferring business owner is creating a new business for their employee, the following applies:

If the transferring business is in a free trial period, the new business will start in a free trial .

If the transferring business is in a paid monthly plan, the new business will immediately be in a paid plan with no free trial period.

Cancellation: Transfer requests cannot be cancelled. If you requested a transfer by mistake, contact Vagaro support for options to roll back a transfer. Requests to roll back a completed Vagaro to Vagaro import may incur a service fee.
Depending on the information included in a transfer request, it may be moved or copied to the target business.
Note
When data is moved to the target business, it is deleted from the transferring business. Data that is copied over remains unchanged.

If your business has Vagaro Drive configured, the option to transfer appointment and customer files will be shown. If the other business does not have Vagaro Drive or enough storage, a popup will appear prompting them to activate Vagaro Drive or upgrade.
If you transfer over appointment and class data, the employee or business owner will need to map the imported services and classes to their menu. This process helps align differences between two businesses.

If a new business is created for their employee, services and classes are imported without the need to map.

If the other business has no services or classes, your menu will be imported without the need to map.
