If you or one of your employees is opening a new business on Vagaro, you can start the process of creating the new business and transferring their information as an business account owner. Customer contacts, notes, appointments, services, and classes can be copied or moved to the new business. Once the transfer is complete, both business owners will receive an email confirmation, and the employee’s profile will be removed from the original business.
Keep the following in mind:

If the transferring business is in a free trial period, the new business will start in a free trial .

If the transferring business is in a paid monthly plan, the new business will immediately be in a paid plan with no free trial period.
Prerequisites: This procedure can only be performed by the business business account owner.
You don't need to create a new account to transfer information over. You can begin the process of creating a new business directly in Vagaro.
To create the business:

Select → → .

Select Employees to view all profiles, then select the employee's profile from the list.

From their profile, next to your business's name, select → .
Note
If multi-location is configured, select Action
for the location you want to modify.

Select Make Owner of New Business.

In Make Owner of New Business, complete the following steps:

By default, only customers of the selected employee are transferred. If you want to transfer all customers, select All Customers of All Employees in the Copy Customers Of list.

Choose whether to transfer the employee's reviews, menu, contact information, notes, files (Vagaro Drive), and so on.

Select the Transfer Date for when the data will be transferred.

Select the checkbox to agree to the terms.

In Complete Sign Up for New Business, enter the following information for the employee's new business, then select Create Business.

Credit Card

Have the employee log in to Vagaro and complete setting up their business.
To create the business:

Next to the employee's profile, select → .
Note
If multi-location is configured, select the Locations link next to their profile to manage the employee for each location.

Select Make Owner of New Business.

In Make Owner of New Business, complete the following steps:

By default, only customers of the selected employee are transferred. If you want to transfer all customers, select All Customers of All Employees in the Copy Customers Of list.

Select whether to transfer the employee's reviews, menu, contact information, notes, files (Vagaro Drive), and so on.

Select the Transfer Date for when the data will be transferred.

Select the checkbox to agree to the terms, then select Request Transfer.

In Complete Sign Up for New Business, enter the following information for the employee's new business

Business Address Line 1

(Optional) Business Address Line 2

Credit Card

Once all the necessary information is entered, select Create Business.

Have the employee log in to Vagaro and complete setting up their business.
After logging in to their new business and setting up their service and class menu, the new business owner can map services to match those from the source business.
Note
This only applies if the service and appointment data were transferred over.
To map the imported services or classes:

In the Notification Panel
, look for the Employee Approved Transfer notification. If you find it, select Complete Service Mapping.

In Service Mapping, match each of the transferred services or classes with one of the services or classes at your business. You'll also have the option to create a new service if needed.

Select Import.
