If you switched to Vagaro from another scheduling system or just want to add your contacts from another source, you can import your customer list from an Excel spreadsheet, Google, Outlook, and Yahoo, another software, as well as from another Vagaro account.
Prerequisites: This feature is available for all Vagaro businesses.
Your customer list can be imported from the following sources:
We can help you transfer some of your business information to our platform. To do this, you'll need to schedule an appointment with a Vagaro Specialist. During the appointment, you'll need to provide us with some files that we can use to import your data over to Vagaro. We prefer to work with Excel, .csv, and Numbers (for Mac users) files, but we'll do our best with other formats too. See Transfer Business Information to Vagaro From Another Software to learn more.
The first Premium Import with Vagaro is free and consists of a single import of all the information shown above. Once we have completed the import, subsequent Premium imports will incur a fee. It is always free to import customers from another software.
To import from another software:

Under Import from Other Software, select Import to schedule your appointment.

In Where are you importing from, select your previous software, and then select Find a Time.

Choose a time that works best for you, submit the necessary details, and then schedule your appointment.

If you don't feel comfortable providing information about your account, you can email all the necessary files to Vagaro at support@vagaro.com with "Attn: Import Team" as the subject.

You will receive this email once the import is completed:
From start to finish, the process typically takes 3-5 business days, but can take longer if we need additional data to complete the transfer.
You can import customers directly from your phone's contact list in the Vagaro Pro app. This feature is only available on the Vagaro Pro app.
To import your customer's information from your phone:

Select Import Contacts.

If applicable, select the checkbox to agree to Vagaro's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, then select Agree.

Allow Vagaro Pro to access your contacts.
Note
If you're using an iPhone, you must give Vagaro full access to your contacts in your device settings.

Select the toggle button to choose the contacts you want to import, then select Done.

Select OK on the confirmation screen.

From Import Summary, the number of Imported and Invalid customers is shown. Select Back Arrow < to go back to your settings.
Optionally, use the web version of Vagaro to invite customers to visit your Vagaro Listing Page. The import of your contacts will import over the next two hours.

If you manage your customers from an Excel spreadsheet, you can import this file into Vagaro to manage your customers with their bookings. This process requires that the columns in your spreadsheet be in a specific order so that your customers' information is entered in the correct fields. Vagaro provides a sample Excel file you can download to ensure your content is organized correctly for import.
To import your contact list from an Excel spreadsheet:

Under Excel, select Import.
Optionally, download the sample excel file to format your contact list as shown in the template. This will help import your customers smoothly.

From Vagaro File Uploader, select Browse, upload the Excel file, and then select Upload.
Note
If you encounter errors while importing your Excel spreadsheet, clear your browser's cache and cookies and then try uploading the file again.
Your Excel file can have only one sheet. If there are multiple sheets, a popup will inform you that says that you'll need to remove the other sheets.
You'll have to either delete the other sheets or save the contents of the main sheet into another Excel file that has only one sheet, then try uploading the file again.

The imported customers will appear in a Import Summary. Review, update, or unselect any invalid contacts in the list, then select Import.

Select the service providers to assign the imported customers, then select Proceed.
Select Invite customers to your Vagaro booking page to send an email welcoming your customers to Vagaro.

Select OK to confirm the import.
To import your customer contacts from your Google account:

Under Google, select Import.

Sign into your Google account, then select Continue.

Select Continue to give Vagaro access to your Google account.

The imported customers will appear in a Import Summary. Review, update, or unselect any invalid contacts in the list, then select Import.

Select the service providers to assign the imported customers, then select Proceed.
Select Invite customers to your Vagaro booking page to send an email welcoming your customers to Vagaro.

To import customer information from your Outlook contact list:

Under Outlook, select Import.

Sign in to your Microsoft account.

Select Yes to give Vagaro access to your info.

The imported customers will appear in a Import Summary. Review, update, or unselect any invalid contacts in the list, then select Import.

To import customer information from your Yahoo account:

Transfer an employee’s customers, appointments, and more to another Vagaro business. For example, a booth renter moved to another salon and would like their clients and appointments.
