When a customer loses their gift card, you have several ways to help them recover or replace it. Depending on how the gift card was sold, you can resend it to the recipient, locate it using the purchaser’s information, or transfer the remaining balance to a new physical gift card.
Prerequisites: Sell a gift card to your customer.
If your customer selected a recipient for their gift card, you can find it in their profile or from the Gift Card report.
To print or email a recipient's gift card:

Select → → .
The report displays all gift cards with outstanding balances.

In the top-right corner, select Filters
.

In Search Value, enter the recipient's name, then select Run Report.

Select the gift card, then select View.
-
In the top-right corner, choose an option:

Print
: Print a hard copy of the gift card.

Email
: Send an email receipt to the customer by entering one or more email addresses, separated by commas (,), then selecting Send Mail.

To print or email a recipient's gift card:
-
Go to Customers
and select a customer.

From their profile, go to the Gift Cards tab, find their gift card, and then select → .

In the Gift Card Receipt, choose an option:

Print: Print a hard copy of the gift card.

Send Email: Send an email receipt to the customer by entering one or more email addresses, separated by commas (,), then selecting Send Email.

If a gift card does not have a recipient assigned, you can find it by searching for the purchaser in the Gift Card Report.
To print or email a recipient's gift card:

Select → → .
The report displays all gift cards with outstanding balances.

In the top-right corner, select Filters
.

Next to Search Filters, select Any and choose From in the list.

Enter the purchaser's name in Search Value, then select Run Report.

Select the gift card, then select View.

In the top-right corner, choose an option:

Print
: Print a hard copy of the gift card.

Email
: Send an email receipt to the customer by entering one or more email addresses, separated by commas (,), then selecting Send Mail.

To print or email a recipient's gift card:

The report displays all gift cards with outstanding balances.

In the Search Fields list, select From, then enter the purchaser's name in Search Value.

Select Run Report.

Find the gift card, then select → next to it.

In the Gift Card Receipt, choose an option:

Print: Print a hard copy of the gift card.

Send Email: Send an email receipt to the customer by entering one or more email addresses, separated by commas (,), then selecting Send Email.

If your customer loses their physical gift card and would like a new one, you can transfer the balance over to a new gift card and void the old balance.
To transfer a balance:

Select → → .
The report displays all gift cards with outstanding balances.

In the top-right corner, select → .

Enter the Gift Card Number

Enter the gift card's Amount and choose a Template Type.

Optionally, choose the Recipient. If this person isn't on your customer list, you can leave this option blank or create a new profile for them.

Fill in the other optional gift card fields, and when you've finished creating your gift card, select Next.

A preview of the digital gift card will appear. If no additional changes are needed, select Add Gift Card.
The customer's new card has been loaded. To prevent the customer from using the old gift card, you can void it in the same Gift Card report.
To transfer a balance:

Select → .
The report displays all gift cards with outstanding balances.

In the top-left corner of the table, select New Gift Card.

Enter or scan the Gift Card Number.

Enter the gift card's Amount and choose a Template Type.

Optionally, choose the Recipient. If this person isn't on your customer list, you can leave this option blank or create a new profile for them.

Fill in the other optional gift card fields, and when you've finished creating your gift card, select Next.

A preview of the digital gift card will appear. If no additional changes are needed, select Add Gift Card.
The customer's new card has been loaded. To prevent the customer from using the old gift card, you can void it in the same Gift Card report.
