The Sales Summary report shows your business's revenue and profit, including totals for sales, commissions, discounts, taxes, refunds, tips, and more. You can also filter by employee or customer to dig into the details.
Prerequisites: This feature is available for all Vagaro businesses.

Type: The name of each item being sold, like service sales, class sales, discounts, and so on. For descriptions of each type, see Sales Types below.

Business Cost: The business expenses for each row.

Total Sale: The gross value of all transactions before any deductions.

Revenue Total: The actual income earned from sales after removing non-earnings like tax.
-
Tax Total: The total tax collected from customers that must be remitted to the tax authority.

Profit (Revenue - Business Cost - Tax): What's left over after subtracting business costs and tax from revenue.
The bottom of the report displays the following information:

Points Given: The total points customers earned from purchases.

Points Redeemed: The total points customers used toward purchases.
-
IOUs Outstanding: The total value of all pending IOUs.
On a phone, the report displays sales types, business costs (if applicable), and total sales as individual cards.
To run the Sales Summary Report:
Each Type represents the following:

Service Sales: The total revenue from in-house or online cart service sales, based on checkout date. The total excludes points redemptions, business cost, tips, discounts, taxes, refunds, and membership, package, and gift card redemptions.

Service Add-On Sales: The total revenue from in-house or online cart service add-on sales. The total excludes points redemptions, business cost, tips, discounts, taxes, and refunds.

Class Sales: The total revenue from in-house or online cart class sales, based on checkout date. The total excludes points redemptions, business cost, tips, discounts, taxes, refunds, and membership, package, and gift card redemptions.

Class Add-On Sales: The total revenue from in-house or online cart class add-on sales. The total excludes points redemptions, business cost, tips, discounts, taxes, and refunds.

In-House Product Sales: The total revenue from product sales made at your business location. The total excludes points redemptions, business cost, tips, discounts, taxes, refunds, and membership, package, and gift card redemptions.

Gift Card Sales: The total revenue from in-house or online cart gift card sales. The total does not include refunds.

Membership Sales: The total revenue from in-house or online cart membership sales. The total does not include refunds.

Package Sales: The total revenue from in-house or online cart package sales. The total does not include refunds.

Rent Collection: The total rent collected from renters, not including commission deductions.

Commission (Deducted from Rent Collection): The total commissions earned by employees from service, class, or product sales.

Service Discounts: The total discounts applied to service sales, shown as negative values.

Service Add-On Discounts: The total discounts applied to service add-on sales, shown as negative values.

Class Discounts: The total discounts applied to class sales, shown as negative values.

Class Add-On Discounts: The total discounts applied to class add-on sales, shown as negative values.

Product Discounts: The total discounts applied to in-house or online cart product sales, shown as negative values.

Gift Card Discounts: The total discounts applied to gift card sales, shown as negative values.

Membership Discounts: The total discounts applied to membership sales, shown as negative values.

Package Discounts: The total discounts applied to package sales, shown as negative values.

Gift Card Redeemed: The total value of purchases paid with a monetary, service-, or class-based gift card, shown as a negative value.

Package Redeemed: The total value of purchases paid with a package visit, shown as a negative value.

Tax: The total taxes collected from transactions where the applicable tax rate was applied.
You can drill into the report to see each transaction.

Select a card to view its customer transactions.

Optionally, work with the transactions:

Select Search
to find transactions by date, customer name, item sold, or transaction type.

In the top-right corner, select Action
, then select Print to get a hard copy, or Export PDF or Export Excel.

Optionally, view a customer's receipt:

Select a transaction to open its receipt.

In the top-right corner, select Action
, then select Print to resend or print the customer's receipt.

You can drill into the report to see each transaction.

If a Business Cost or Total Sale value is blue, select it to view the transactions for that row.

Optionally, work with the transactions:

Select a column header to sort by that column.

In the Search by date, customer, employee, item sold, or transaction ID field, search for a transaction.

Select Export
or Print
.

At the end of the transaction, select Receipt to view, reprint, or send the receipt to the customer via email.
