A Resource is a room, space, furniture, or tool required to perform a service. Because of its limited quantity, resources must be shared between team members. Examples include a massage room, a chair, a studio, and different types of equipment. Vagaro automatically selects the first available resource for each booking, and you can change the assigned resource if needed.
Prerequisites: This feature is available for all Vagaro businesses.
Before a resource can be assigned to a service or class, it must be created.
Adding one or more resources to the services or classes on your Service/Class Menu automatically assigns the selected resource(s), if available, when an appointment is booked. Resources are also assigned, if possible, when booking service bundles.
To add a resource to a service or a class:

To assign a resource to an appointment:

On the Calendar, book a service or a class, or edit an existing one.

In the Resource list, select or update the resource(s) for the appointment.

Optionally, update any other information about the service or class if required.

Select Save or Book.

Multiple appointments and service bundles can be booked to be performed at the same time, such as a couple's massage performed by two service providers, or back-to-back, such as one person getting a massage followed by the person's friend.
You can book appointments for one service bundle or for up to 10 individual services or classes.
To add a resource to multiple appointments:

On the Calendar, select an available timeslot, and then select New Appointment.

Select the customer, the Service, and any Add-Ons, and the service's other information as needed.

In the Resource list, select or update the resource(s) for the appointment.

Select Add another service. to add up to nine additional services.

Select Book.
To add a resource to multiple appointments:

On the Calendar, select an available timeslot, and then select New Multiple Appointments.

In the Book Multiple Appointments popup, select the services or service bundles to book, as well as their Add-Ons.

Update the Resource(s) and the services' other information as needed.

Select Next.

In the Book Appointment popup, select the Customer and the rest of the appointments' information.

Where is Vagaro on this request? It seems that allowing a "resource" to have a specific schedule is all that is being asked. Setting up a "resource" as an employee does not meet the needs of a "resource" since the resource is needed specifically for a service or class type. Please advise if there is an ETA for this feature. Based on comments above, this feature was requested 9 years ago. Really?!

Is there still no update ? I would like the option to set a schedule for a resource ? As of right now it seems like that’s not an option? I need to make sure I can book a certain service only on selected days.

Is there a way to make a resource available, but not required. We're a larger facility and I need to be able to assign rooms day of, rather than in advance.

I am trying to click two of the resources (The room and the device) but when I book the service it only allows me to pick one resource. Is there a way to select two resources for an appointment?

I want to be able to apply a resource to a specific add on for select services. Is there any way to do this? If not, we could run into an issue of double booking the resource inadvertently.

Add-ons must always be scheduled with a service or class to avoid the risk of double-booking the resource. For instance, if you have a haircut service accompanied by a shampoo add-on, they will be grouped together whenever scheduled. If you include a service for a resource, the entire duration of the service, including the add-on, will also be scheduled. However, if you have another resource that needs to be scheduled with that specific one, this option is not available at this time.
