What are computer cookies?

A cookie is a piece of data that a website puts on the device so the website can remember you when you visit again.

Cookies are stored on your computer by websites you visit and contain information such as site preferences or login status. Computer cookies are intended to enhance the experience of Internet navigation.

Safari

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, go to your phone Settings.

  2. In the left side menu, select Safari.

  3. Scroll down to Privacy & Secuity and make sure Block all Cookies is turned off.

Google Chrome

  1. Go to Chrome's tools menu kebab, then Settings.

  2. Go to the Privacy and Security tab.

  3. Select Cookies and other site data.

  4. Set your options for cookies.

Firefox

  1. Go to the Firefox tools menu ff_tools_menu.png.

  2. Select Options.

  3. Select the Privacy & Security tab.

  4. Scroll down to Cookies and Site Data.

  5. Click the Learn More links for detailed instructions.

Note

Cookies are enabled by default in Firefox.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Go to the tools menu more_horizontal.png.

  2. Go to the Cookies and site permissions tab.

  3. Under All permissions, look at the settings in Cookies and site data.

Cookies are allowed in Edge by default.
