Chat With Your Team on Connect

With Connect by Vagaro, you can chat with your coworkers for free through the Connect by Vagaro app or on your computer. After sending a message to your coworkers, they'll receive a notification in the Connect app and web version of Vagaro. Sending messages to your coworkers or employees does not use your text marketing plan because all messages are sent through Vagaro, and no text messages are sent.

Note

You can't start a chat with a team member if they don't have an employee profile created at your business. Multi-location businesses can chat with employees at other locations in their organization as well.

Prerequisites: This feature is available for all Vagaro businesses. Chatting with employees at your business does not require a text messaging plan. Connect by Vagaro is not yet available for the Vagaro Pay Desk.

To start a team chat:

  1. Go to Connect by Vagaro:

    • On a Phone or Tablet: Download or open the Connect app.

    • Web Version: Log in to your Vagaro business, then select the Chat Bubble button.

  2. Start a new chat:

    • Connect by Vagaro App: Select the Create tab at the bottom of the screen, then select the Employees tab.

    • Web Version: Select the Employees tab, then select the + button.

  3. Select the coworkers you want to chat with.

  4. Enter the message to be sent to your coworker.

    Tip

    Add an "@" to your message to mention a coworker in the group.

  5. Add any images, videos, and gifs to your messages:

    • Connect by Vagaro app: Select the Plus icon to:

      • Use Camera: Take a picture on your phone and send it to the team member.

      • Photo Library: Select an image from your phone and send it to the team member.

      • Send a GIF: Select a GIF from the built-in library and send it to your team member.

    • Web Version: Select one of the following buttons to:

      • Emoji: Add emojis to your chat.

      • Paperclip: Add files and images to your chat.

      • GIF: Add GIFs from our built-in library to your chat.

  6. Select Send.

  7. Optionally, if you created a group chat, give your chat a name:

    • Connect by Vagaro App:

      1. If you aren't already, go to the group chat you want to name.

      2. Select the Action kebab menu in the top-right corner, then select View Details.

      3. Select the Pencil pencil.png icon, enter a name for your chat, and then select the Check circle-check-regular.png button.

    • Web Version:

      1. If you aren't already, go to the group chat you want to name.

      2. On the right side of the screen, select the Pencil pencil.png icon.

      3. Enter a new name for your chat, then select the Check circle-check-regular.png button.

  8. React to messages your team sends:

    • Connect by Vagaro App: Select and hold the message to display available reactions. Select the Additional Emoji additional_emoji_icon.png button to view more available reactions.

    • Web Version: Hover over the message to display available reactions. Select the Additional Emoji additional_emoji_icon.png button to view more available reactions
