Popups are used to bring meaningful content to your customers' attention with the goal of encouraging them to sign up for a service, redeem a deal, or join a mailing list. Vagaro has two popup types you can choose from when setting up your MySite:

The Default "Pop-up": A popup that prompts customers to fill out a form, go to another page, acknowledge an announcement, use a Daily Deal, and so on.

The "Subscribe" Popup: A popup that has a form so customers can subscribe to your mailing list by entering their information.
Prerequisites: This feature requires MySite. To set up your first website, see Getting Started with Vagaro MySite.
The default popup can be used to direct customers to another page or to announce business closures or upcoming events.
To create a popup:

At the top of the screen, go to MySite.

In the top-left corner, go to

From Pop-Up settings, select Enable to show a preview of your popup.

Enter the Title and Description of your popup.

Under Advanced Settings, expand Actions, then select Button Click.

In the Main Button Link list, choose what happens when your customer selects the button:

Dismiss Popup: Dismisses the popup.
-
None: Hides the button.
-
Page: Directs the customer to a page on your MySite.
-
URL: Directs the customer to an external website.
-
Daily Deal: Directs the customer to one of your active Daily Deals.
-
Form: Directs the customer to a form.
-
Email: Opens a new email on the customer's device with your email address pre-filled.

Phone: Initiates a phone call with your business. (Only functions for customers on a mobile phone)
Additional configuration may be required. For example, selecting the Daily Deal option prompts you to select a deal.

Enter the Main Button Text.

Optionally, to add a second button to the popup:

Next to Secondary Button Link, select how the button will function.

Enter the Secondary Button Text.

Preview and publish the changes to your MySite:

To preview your MySite, go to Publish, then select Preview.

To publish your website, go to Publish, then select Publish.

You can stylize your popup further in Advanced Settings.
The Subscribe popup prompts customers to enter their information and join your mailing list. When submitted, the system will use that information to create a new customer profile or find an existing one, then add a "subscribed" general tag to that profile. That tag can then be used to target subscribed customers in your marketing campaigns.
To create a "subscribe to mailing list" popup:

At the top of the screen, go to MySite.

In the top-left corner, go to

From Pop-Up settings, select Enable to show a preview of your popup.

Enter the Title and Description of your popup.

Under Advanced Settings, expand Actions, then select Subscribe.

Under Email or Phone, choose the fields you want to display in the form:

Choose between Require Email or Require Email & Phone to add or remove a phone field.

Select Ask for Gender to add the optional Gender field.

Optionally, enter a Disclaimer with any information (legal or contextual) the customer should know when submitting this form. Placeholder text is automatically added.

In the Completion Link list, choose what happens when your customer selects the Submit button:

Dismiss Popup: Dismisses the popup.

Page: Directs the customer to a page on your MySite.

URL: Directs the customer to an external website.

Daily Deal: Directs the customer to one of your active Daily Deals.

Promo Code: Emails a promo code to your customer.

Form: Directs the customer to a form.
Additional configuration may be required. For example, selecting the Daily Deal option prompts you to select a deal.

Preview and publish the changes to your MySite:

To preview your MySite, go to Publish, then select Preview.

To publish your website, go to Publish, then select Publish.

You can stylize your popup further in Advanced Settings.
In your Pop-Up settings, under Image, you can choose one image from your device, your Venue Gallery, or from Unsplash.

To choose from thousands of royalty-free images on Unsplash, select Search Online Library.

To upload an image from your device, select Add Photo.
You can also select from images you've previously uploaded to your MySite.

To choose a photo from your Venue Gallery, expand Gallery Images and choose an image.
You can customize which pages your popup is shown on and how frequently it will appear.
To change this setting:

Go to your Pop-Up settings.

Under Advanced Settings, expand Display.

Under Show Pop-Up, choose an option:
-
Any First Page: Display on the first page your customer lands on.

Certain Pages: Display on select pages.
When you choose Certain Pages, a list will appear for you to select your desired pages.

In the Timing list, set the delay for when the popup will appear.

In the Frequency list, choose how often this popup will display to visitors.
If you only want this popup to display once, select Don't Show After Subscribing.

Preview and publish the changes to your MySite:

To preview your MySite, go to Publish, then select Preview.

To publish your website, go to Publish, then select Publish.

To change the styling of your popup:

Go to your Pop-Up settings.

Under Advanced Settings, expand Style, then customize your popup by changing the following settings:

Title Text: Choose a preset header styling for the Title.

Text Color: Change the color of the Title.
-
Description Text: Choose a preset paragraph styling for the Description.

Description Color: Change the color of the Description.
-
Main Button: Choose a preset button styling for the main button.

Secondary Button: Choose a preset button styling for the secondary button.

Background Color: Change the color of the popup's background.

Preview and publish the changes to your MySite:

To preview your MySite, go to Publish, then select Preview.

To publish your website, go to Publish, then select Publish.
