Any customer can reload an empty gift card by purchasing it again using the same gift card number. This process is the same as creating a new gift card, but the same gift card number is reused.
Alternatively, you can update the balance of a gift card in the Gift Card report; however, it will not be tracked as a sale, nor will the employee updating the amount receive a commission for it. All sales and commissions are tracked only if items are sold on the Checkout screen.
Important
Each customer is restricted from purchasing more than $1,500 (or the equivalent in local currency) in gift cards and packages per day. This limit includes individual gift certificates or packages for smaller amounts that add up to more than $1,500 or a single one for more than $1,500. Restrictions are set by FinCen and our banking partners.
Prerequisites: This feature is available for all Vagaro businesses. The gift card number being reloaded must already exist in the business's Gift Card report and have a zero balance.
Only gift cards with an empty balance can be reloaded; otherwise, you will see a message that the gift card number already exists.
To reload a gift card:

On the Checkout screen, search for and select the customer reloading the gift card.

Select Shopping Cart, + Add Item, then Gift.

Re-add the gift card's information.

Enter or scan the Gift Card # to be reused, then select Done.

Optionally, select the Recipient's Name; otherwise, the card will be sent to the customer reloading the gift card.

Enter the remaining information for the gift card, then select Add to Cart or Save.

In the Reset Gift Card popup, select Reset Gift Card. The Gift Card # is updated with a sequence number (-0001), which will be increased by one (-0002) each time the card is reloaded.

Select Add to Cart again.

Add any other items to the shopping cart as needed, then select Done.

Complete the checkout process.

To reload a gift card:

On the Checkout screen, search for and select the customer reloading the gift card.

At the bottom of the screen, select Gift Card.

In the Add Gift Card popup, provide the following information (all fields marked with an asterisk [*] are required):

Gift Card Number*: Enter or scan the gift card number to be be reused.

Service/Class/Add-On: Optionally, select a service, class, or add-on that the gift card must be used for, as well as the No. of Visit(s) (number of visits). If your business allows, the customer can convert those services to a monetary amount.

Amount*: Enter the monetary value of the gift card.

Expire On*: Select an expiration date, or leave it as Never to allow the card to be used indefinitely until the amount or number of services run out.

Sender's Name: Already selected; the customer reloading the gift card.

Recipient's Name: Select the recipient of the gift card. Select New if you need to create a customer profile for them.

Send On: If a recipient was selected, choose the date when the recipient will receive the gift card via email.

Message: Enter a message about the gift card to the recipient from the sender, such as birthday or holiday wishes.

Template Type: Select a template category and image for the gift card.

Print Gift Card: Select whether to print a paper copy of the gift card for the sender to give to the recipient.

Send email to: Select whether to send the gift card via email to the recipient, if one is selected.

Select Next.

In the Alert popup, select Reset Gift Card.
The Gift Card Number is updated with a sequence number (-0001), which will be increased by one (-0002) each time the card is reloaded.

Select Next again.

On the Gift Card Preview screen, select Add Gift Card.

Add any other items to the shopping cart, then complete the checkout process.
