If your customer notifies you that they can't post a review, you'll need to troubleshoot with them. Here are a few things to consider if a client is not able to write a review:
-
The customer must be signed in to a profile that's in your business's Customer List. The user may have logged in or created a separate account, unaware that one has already been created for them.
-
Be aware that if you have Only Allow Reviews From Verified Customers turned on in your Online Appointment Rules, you will limit reviews to clients with at least one appointment with the status of Shown or Completed.
-
Owners and employees of a business can't leave a review for their business.
To ensure reviews remain fair and authentic, Vagaro places limits on how customers can submit reviews. The rules vary depending on the type of review:
Business Reviews
-
Written from your business's listing page.
-
Limited to one review per customer per day.
Reviews for Past Appointments
-
Written from Past Appointments in the customer's Vagaro account.
-
Customers can leave a review at any time after the appointment is completed.
-
Customers can submit up to 15 reviews per day, provided they have that many past appointments.

I understand why vagaro has it set up this way but this is not only tedious for the business it is also tedious for the clients. There needs to be a easier way for them to leave a review.
The links from the completed/checked-out emails are not working, and we have missed out on many review opportunities from our clients. It would be great if we could send a link to clients and ask for a review independently from the automatically sent emails.
Hey Rhiana,
I tried testing on my end, but I didn't have any issues with the links. Could you go into more detail on what is happening on your/ the customer's end?
Thanks,
Jamie
Is there not a way we can just allow anyone to leave a review? Like others have said it's very tedious especially if my clients and I were not previously using vagaro so they aren't in my system
Hi Gianna and Aislynn,
You'll need to turn off Only Allow Reviews From Verified Customers in your Online Appointment Rules.
i was having some of my clients leave a review for me when i came across the same issue. when you go to your clients info it will have temp user and password log and give them that and they can leave a review now.
