Take payments anywhere with PayPro Go, a flexible card reader that works seamlessly with your phone, tablet, computer, Pay Desk, or PayPro device. You can set up your device, connect it to your preferred hardware, and start accepting tap or chip payments.
Prerequisites: See here to purchase PayPro Go. This feature requires Credit Card Processing. PayPro Go is not compatible with PayPro Mini, or Chromebook devices.
If you haven't used your PayPro Go before, you'll need to complete the initial setup for your new device. If you're already set up this device, see Step Four: Pair with the Device.
To set up your device:

Take PayPro Go out of the box and press the power button on the side of the device.
Note
If your device does not power on, charge it with the provided cable first, then try again later.

On the Welcome screen, select Start.

Select a language, then select Next.
-
Select a timezone, then select Next.

Select a network, enter the password, select Next to connect, and then select Next again once you've connected to the network.
PayPro Go will begin downloading the latest Vagaro Pro app. This may take a few minutes.

Once successfully installed, the Welcome to your Vagaro PayPro Go screen will appear. Select Begin Setup to continue.

Name your device. Select the blue checkmark or Next to continue. Keep in mind you can always change the name later.
Your PayPro Go includes a dock to keep the device secure and protected. The bottom of the dock has an adhesive pad that helps keep it in place on your front desk during checkout. It is safe to remove and is not permanently attached. To clean the adhesive pad, remove PayPro Go from the dock, then rinse the pad with warm water. The dock will not be damaged.
To connect your dock, hold the PayPro Go with the screen facing outward, then press it into the dock. Make sure the slot where you insert a card lines up with the opening on the dock.
When the PayPro Go is in the dock, the power button is covered. Remove the device from the dock to turn it on or off.
For best performance, keep your PayPro Go at 25% battery or higher when processing payments.
To check your battery:

Turn on PayPro Go.

Swipe down from the top of the screen, then quickly swipe down again to open quick settings.

Look at the top-right corner to see the battery percentage.

To charge your device, plug the provided USB-C cable into your PayPro Go or dock with the device inserted, then connect the other end to a computer, PayPro, or wall charger.
Connect your PayPro Go to the device you use for checkout, such as a phone, tablet, PayPro, or computer, to start taking payments. Pairing is quick and keeps everything in sync for a smooth checkout experience.
To pair with a phone:

If you've paired your PayPro Go before, make sure you've disconnected it from all other devices. Swipe up with two fingers from the main Vagaro screen on PayPro Go, then select Connect with Device. If it's your first time setting up, skip to the next step.

On the Connect with Device screen, select Mobile.

Open the Vagaro Pro app on your phone, then select → → .

Select continue here to skip the wizard.

Use your device's camera to scan the QR code shown on your PayPro Go or enter the one-time verification code.
Once successfully connected, PayPro Go will make a sound, and your phone will show Connected. You'll also see a green dot on PayPro Go, and the device it's connected to.
Note
PayPro Go must be on the same network as your PayPro or Pay Desk to pair.
To pair with PayPro:

If you've paired your PayPro Go before, make sure you've disconnected it from all other devices. Swipe up with two fingers from the main Vagaro screen on PayPro Go, then select Connect with Device. If it's your first time setting up, skip to the next step.

On the Connect with Device screen, select PayPro.

Turn on your PayPro or Pay Desk.

Open the Vagaro Pro app on PayPro or Pay Desk and log in.

Connect the USB-C cable to PayPro Go or PayPro Go with dock, then plug the other end into your PayPro or Pay Desk.
Note
If you're connecting to a Pay Desk, you'll need to use the provided USB-C to USB-A adapter.
Once successfully connected, PayPro Go will make a sound. You'll also see a green circle on the main Vagaro screen for PayPro Go once connected
To pair with tablet:

If you've paired your PayPro Go before, make sure you've disconnected it from all other devices. Swipe up with two fingers from the main Vagaro screen on PayPro Go, then select Connect with Device. If it's your first time setting up, skip to the next step.

On the Connect with Device screen, select Tablet.

Open the Vagaro Pro app on your phone, then select → → .

Select continue here to skip the wizard.

Use your device's camera to scan the QR code shown on your PayPro Go or enter the one-time verification code.
Once successfully connected, PayPro Go will make a sound, and your tablet will show Connected.
Known Issue with Chrome Browsers
We’re aware of an issue in the latest Chrome and Edge updates that can prevent your device from pairing. Our team is working on a fix. In the meantime, follow the troubleshooting steps below.
Note
PayPro Go must be on the same network as your computer to pair.
To pair with a computer:

Connect the USB-C cable to PayPro Go or PayPro Go with dock, then plug the other end into your computer.

If you've paired your PayPro Go before, make sure you've disconnected it from all other devices. Swipe up with two fingers from the main Vagaro screen on PayPro Go, then select Connect with Device. If it's your first time setting up, skip to the next step.

On the Connect with Device screen, select Desktop.

On your computer, select Checkout
.

In the bottom-right corner, select → .

In the popup select Connect My PayPro Go.

Select Download Vagaro Pro Utility to update or install the utility.
Once the utility is installed, the Pay by Card button will turn blue when successfully connected. The PayPro Go will also make a chime sound once connected.
To take payment:

Go to the Checkout
screen, or check out the customer directly from the Calendar.

For existing appointments or classes, the customer is already selected and ready for checkout.

Turn on PayPro Go and connect it to your device:

Phone and Tablet: If you've previously paired your PayPro Go with your phone, make sure it's disconnected from any devices. Once disconnected, it will connect to your phone shortly after you open Checkout. You can also manually connect to devices by going to → .

PayPro: Connect PayPro Go to PayPro with the provided USB-C cable.

Computer: Connect PayPro Go to your computer with the provided USB-C cable. Once connected, the Pay by Card button will turn blue. The checkout total and any items in the cart will appear on PayPro Go.

Select Pay by Card and let your customer know there will be prompts on the PayPro Go.

Depending on your Checkout Settings, the option to add a tip and sign for the transaction will appear on the PayPro Go. If you're using a Pay Desk, these will appear on the customer-facing screen instead.

Tip: If you ask for a tip at checkout, the customer can select a tip option or enter a custom tip amount on PayPro Go. Have them select Next or Charge Card to continue. If the checkout is with multiple service providers, the customer will have the option to split the tip as well.

Sign: If you require a signature for card transactions, the customer will be prompted to sign on PayPro Go. Have them select Next or Charge Card to continue.

After the customer selects Charge Card, they can pay for their appointment with one of the following methods:
-
Tap: Have the customer hold their card or digital wallet (phone, smart watch, etc) over the PayPro Go to make a contactless payment. Have them hover it over the reader until you see or hear a confirmation that the payment was accepted.

Dip: Have the customer insert their chip card into the reader with the chip facing in and leave it in place during the transaction. They should remove the card only after you see that the payment was accepted.
A Successful Checkout will appear on your device once payment is accepted

The customer can then choose whether they want a receipt directly on PayPro Go:

Print: If you have a Vagaro Receipt Printer, the customer will receive a physical receipt.
-
Email: The customer can enter their email to receive a digital receipt in their inbox.
-
None: No receipt given.
Note
The receipt options given depend on what you've set in Checkout Settings.

You've successfully taken payment. If you give points for purchases, it'll show how many points the customer earned on PayPro Go.
