To connect a domain you purchased from domain providers, like GoDaddy, Squarespace, Namecheap, Google Domains, etc., you'll need to connect the domain to Vagaro and update the DNS records for your domain. Your provider can only change DNS records, so please review your provider's documentation for instructions on changing your DNS records. After changing the DNS records, it may take up to 48 hours to finish connecting your domain to MySite.
Prerequisites: This feature requires a MySite subscription and the web, tablet, or Pay Desk version of Vagaro. To set up your first website, see Getting Started with Vagaro MySite.
To connect your own domain:
-
To get to the MySite editor, select the MySite tab at the top of the screen.
-
In the left design panel, select the Settings tab, then select Domains.
-
Select Use a Domain I Own.
-
Enter the URL of your domain in the search bar, then hit Enter on your keyboard.
Note
When entering the URL for your domain, do not include "www." and any page paths, like "domain.com/pagepath." Also, you cannot connect a subdomain to Vagaro MySite.
-
Select your Domain Provider, then select Connect Domain.
- Log in to your domain provider.
-
Update your provider settings to match the information provided under DNS Settings to Connect Your Domain. Make sure that you remove all previous records that point your domain to another web host. If you're unsure what records to remove, contact your provider's support line. Once set up correctly, all of your DNS records should display as Connected.
