A Daily Deal allows you to promote discounts on services, classes, memberships, packages, and gift certificates. Once you launch it and it's approved, it appears on vagaro.com, your booking page, and your custom website. You can also post the deal on your Facebook page.
Additionally, you can:

Announcing a Daily Deal for existing customers uses emails from your Email Marketing plan

Email Marketing is free to all Vagaro businesses for up to 1000 messages/month. Sign up for an Email Marketing Plan if you use more than that.

Tap More... and then Daily Deals.

Tap Create New.
-
Review the Daily Deal summary and then tap Next.

Tap Select Category to choose a template for the promotion and select a category from the list.

Tap Select Photo and select from the gallery of images to add an image or a photo to the Daily Deal.

Enter the Daily Deal Name, Description, and Fine Print (any limitations on this Daily Deal.)
Note
The description field requires a minimum of 100 characters.

Under Daily Deal Period, select the Start date and time. Select Discount Has an Expiration Date and enter an ending date and time.
Both date and time selections use spinners for settings, or you can add or deduct one week from the current date.

Select limits to this Daily Deal:

Toggle Limit Total Number of Uses on, then enter the Total Number of Uses.
The Daily Deal is restricted to the first five customers in the example below.

If you toggle Limit to One Use Per Customer, customers can only use the deal once.

Set Discount will be redeemable by: selecting Existing Customers, New Customers, or both.
New vs. Existing Customers
A "New" customer is not in your Customer List, while an existing customer has a Customer Profile linked to your business. If an existing customer tries to use a Daily Deal for New Customers, the deal will not apply to their booking.

Select an option to apply this discount to either a Single Applicable Item in Cart or All Applicable Items in Cart.

Tap All Employees to make the deal available to clients of selected employees. Tap Done when you're finished selecting employees.
Note
If you go on to select a Daily Deal type of either Memberships & Packages or Gift Certificates, the Offered by selection no longer applies and will be removed from the screen. You might make the Daily Deal type selection first to save time.

Add selected Services & Classes, Memberships & Packages, or Gift Certificates to this daily deal. You can only have one Daily Deal Type per Daily Deal.

Select Services & Classes & Add-Ons as the Daily Deal type.

Select the services, classes, and add-ons to add to the promo, and Done .

Enter the discount to add to each selected service and class in Discount Amount.
Note
In Vagaro Pro, only % is available as a discount type and acts on all selected items as a group. If you want to set the discount type as $, or set the discounts individually per item, set up your Daily Deal in the web version.

Tap the Memberships & Packages type and then Memberships/Packages underneath the type selection.

Select memberships and packages to include, and then tap Done.

Set the Discount for the selected items by entering a Discount Amount. To make this an Initial Discount enter a number for Discounted Billing Cycles. This sets the number of billing cycles the discount will be applied before reverting to full price.

Once you're finished adding all discount types to your new Daily Deal, tap Preview to see how the Daily Deal displays to customers.

Toggle I comply with all Daily Deal guidelines, and tap Announce to make it available to your customers.

Tap OK to confirm the Daily Deal announcement.
Once you Announce the promotion and Vagaro approves it, it will appear on the Vagaro home page, your booking page, and your custom website. You'll also be able to post it on your Facebook page.
To use a daily deal discount when checking out a customer, click Checkout. Select the Customer. Then select the service, class, product, membership, or package that's been added to one of the daily deals you've created.

Click Add on the Discount line.

Tap the Daily Deal name.
About checking out "new" customers
If the Daily Deal is limited to New Customers, you'll see a warning when you try to apply it to an existing customer, but you can apply it anyway. This lets the deal be applied, at your discretion, to a customer who has set up an account but may not have made their first appointment or purchase from your business. You can always remove the discount before finishing the checkout.
An existing customer cannot apply a daily deal configured for new customers in the online shopping cart.

You can see the discount applied to the original price of the service and which discount was used. If you want to remove the discount, there's an "x" that you can tap or tap Clear Discount.

Enter payment information and click Checkout to finish.
