Sending Text Marketing messages to clients is a great way to promote your business and keep customers updated on what's going on at your store location or studio. You can specifically send the following types of text blasts:
- Non-Automated Messages: Allows you to send one-time text marketing campaigns.
- Automated Messages: Allows you to send recurring birthday, thank you, and follow up marketing campaigns on a consistent schedule. You can also send messages to lost customers or clients who haven't visited your business in a while.
To send a mass text campaign to clients, follow the steps below when using the Mobile and Desktop Versions of Vagaro.

Note: If you deactivate the text marketing plan and reactivate it, you'll be prompted select a new number for sending text messages to clients. The number is generated by the notification system Vagaro uses to send text blasts. Clients also receive a message to opt into marketing when the number is selected for the first time.
1. Tap More at the bottom of the screen.
2. Select Email & Text Marketing.
3. Select Create Campaign.
4. Select Text under Select Delivery Method.
5. Enter the subject line of the message under Text Campaign Name.
6. Choose the campaign type or the type of blast you want to send. Then tap Next to continue. You can send these types of blasts:
- A one-time text blast.

- A recurring after visit message - click here to learn more.

7. Tap Select Recipients to send the message to a specific list of customers.
8. Tap Create Text.
9. Enter the content you want to add to the message under Compose Text Message.
10. Tap Insert Link to add a web link to the message.
11. Choose the link you want to add to the text blast.
12. The link gets added to the text message right away. Select the link to see how it displays to customers. This allows you to preview it on a separate tab on the device.
13. Tap Next at the bottom of the screen to continue.
14. The content of the message automatically displays in the preview at the top of the screen.
15. Tap Send Text Preview to send a copy of the message to your phone.
*Note: sending text previews count as texts sent under your text marketing plan of choice.
Tap Next to continue.
16. Select Send Now to send the blast shortly after it's announced. Select Facebook to share the message on your Facebook business page.
17. Deselect the Send Now option to set when you want the blast to go out. Select Schedule to choose a specific date and time you want to send the message.
18. Select the acknowledgement box. Then tap Announce to send the message to your customers.
19. Tap OK to confirm.
20. To view the blast you sent, select Campaigns from the main Email & Text Marketing Dashboard (More -> Email & Text Marketing).
21. Select Queue.
22. The message displays automatically under All Campaigns.
23. To edit the blast, create a duplicate copy, or cancel the message, select it on the list. Swipe to the right of the screen. Then choose the option you prefer.
Sending a Mass Text on the Desktop Version

1. Select Marketing at the top of the screen.
2. Under Email & Text Marketing, select Create Campaign.
3. Click Create Campaign.
4. Select Text.
5. Enter the title or subject headline under Campaign Title.
6. Hover over the icon to get tips on how to craft a good title.
7. Select the type of message you want to send. You can specifically send these types of blasts:

Let's send a text blast!
8. Select All Customers to send the message to your full client list. Click Filtered List to use a variety of filters to send the email to a list you prefer. Select Specific Customers to select the specific clients you want to send the blast.
Let's send a text to all customers.
9. Click Edit next to Customers to select the customers you want to send the blast to.
10. Choose the customers on the left side. Then click Apply & Close.
11. To choose the employees you want to receive the blast, click Edit next to Employees. You'll be able to select the employees from there.
12. To send the message shortly after it's announced, click Send Now. Select Post On Facebook to post the marketing campaign on your Facebook page. Click Next to continue.
13. To send the message at a specific date and time, click Schedule. Select the date and time. Then click Next to continue.
14. Under Compose Text, enter a message you want to include in the blast. The content appears immediately in the preview on the right side.
15. Click Insert Link to add a web link to the message.
16. Select the link you want to add from the drop-down.
17. The link gets added to the text message right away. Select the link to see how it displays to customers.
18. Click Send Text Preview to see how the text campaign will display to customers.

19. Enter the number you want the preview sent to. To send it to multiple numbers, enter them in the field and be sure to separate each number with a comma. Click Send when you're good to go.
20. Select the acknowledgment box. Then click Announce to send the text blast to your customers. The message will appear on the main Email & Text Marketing Dashboard, where you can manage all your marketing campaigns, once it's announced. Click Save for Later to save the progress and finish the blast at a time that is convenient for you.

My concern is that guests will think they are able to respond to these messages , which will cause issues with cancellations.
Hi Summer. This is great feedback and our development team is looking at implementing a feature that allows this type of two-way communication. Currently, the way it's set up is before the client gets the first marketing text from you, they get a text from Vagaro asking them to reply by entering stop if they do not want to get marketing text messages.
