To undo the checkout of a service if the cash amount was entered incorrectly or if the wrong customer was checked out, follow these steps:
Note
You can only undo the checkout of a service that was paid with cash or check. If an additional item, such as a product, was added to the transaction, you cannot undo the product's checkout.
-
Click Calendar.
-
Click the checked-out appointment you want to change.
A gray bar on the appointment block signifies that the service has been checked out.
-
Select Undo Checkout.
-
If you've integrated your account with QuickBooks or Xero, an alert will display indicating that the appointment's transaction data is synced with either of these programs. Keep in mind that you will still have to manually remove it from QuickBooks or Xero account. Click OK after reviewing the summary.
-
Click Yes to confirm.
-
The appointment status changes to Confirmed once you undo the checkout.
A peach-color bar on the appointment block means the service status is Confirmed.
-
Select the appointment, then click Checkout to check out the service again.

Need to be able to edit the checkouts afterwards as sometimes staff forgets to add their tips. Also, a "debit" option button and an "other" button would also be ideal if we are using a different cc/debit processing system and if we want to log past gift certificates under "other". And "e-transfer" button would be great too.
Hi Ashley,
Thank you for your feedback. I will be sharing it with our Team so they can see if these are features we can add to our software. You can also request this feature by going to feedback.vagaro.com as well.
Is there a way to refund a service to the client's credit but then check them out using a gift card instead? How would I go about this as I am unable to "undo checkout"? Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
Ashley, I created a ticket for this issue and you'll be hearing from our Support team.
