Analytics are important in providing details about the success of your promotional campaigns. They also give you a strong insight into the behaviors and interests of your clients, allowing you to hone in on tactics that strengthen your strategies and lead to more successful campaigns.
To use analytics to see how effective your promotional campaigns are in Vagaro, follow these steps:
- Click Settings at the top of the screen.
- Click Discounts on the left side of the screen under Things We Sell.
- Find the Daily Deal or Preset Discount you've created. Then click the Announced option that corresponds to it in the middle of the screen in the Status column. This takes you to the analytics page where you can see the total amount of revenue that your discount or daily deal generated, in addition to other data such as the number of appointments that were booked and if the deal led to an increase in new customers.
Using Statistics from Your Promotional Campaigns
1. Click Settings at the top of the screen.
2. Click Discounts on the left side of the screen under Things We Sell.
3. You'll be able to see the discounts you announced in the past. You specifically can see:
- The Date it was announced.

- The Discount Type (Daily Deal or Preset Discount).
- The status.
- The employee who created the discount.
- The Period (start and expiration date of the discount).

Select the toggle switches on the right side in the Active column to activate or deactivate a discount or daily deal. A green color means it is active. To edit or delete an item, click the three dots that correspond to it on the right side of the page.
4. At the top of the screen, you can search for specific discounts by entering the Discount Name or Type in the search box labeled Search Discounts.
For example, if you enter Preset Discount, you'll be able to limit your search to items that are preset discounts. If you enter the actual Discount Name, you'll be able to find a specific daily deal or preset discount.
To the right of the search box, click the All Discounts drop-down to filter the report by discount type. Click Search once you're finished selecting the filters you want to use.
5. You'll see a list of the discounts below based on the filters you added in the previous step. Find the item on the list. Click the three dots that correspond to it on the right side of the page. Then click Duplicate to create a duplicate of the daily deal or preset discount. Click Delete to remove it from the page.
6. To view more specifics about a discount, including its analytics and statistics, find the daily deal or discount. Then click the Announced option that corresponds to it in the middle of the screen. Let's explore this in more detail and let's look at the analytics from a Daily Deal first.
Analytics from Daily Deals
1. Once you click the Announced option for a Daily Deal on the main Discounts page, you'll be able to see data that shows you if a promotion was a success. Click the Email tab at the top of the screen to get more details.
Once you do this, you specifically can see:
- The total number of emails that were sent during the daily deal campaign.
- The percentage of customers who opened the daily deal email.
- The percentage who clicked on a link in the email.
- The total number of bookings that resulted from the daily deal.
Below, you can see a visual or breakdown of the emails divided by status. In the example below, we can see that one email in the daily deal is in the process of being sent and three have failed to reach the intended recipients.
2. If you hover over any of the status bars, you'll be able to get more details regarding the status. In the example below, we hovered over the Failed status bar. This means we're looking at emails that failed to reach the intended recipients. Let's click it to get more details for why the email failed.
3. Once you click the status bar, locate the customer, their email, and the date the daily deal was sent, hover over the status on the right side of the screen. Then click the icon that appears next to the status.
In the example below, we can see that the email was dropped, meaning either the email contact was previously bounced or the recipient marked it as spam. This is why it failed to get delivered to the customer.
4. You can also see the total amount of Revenue that the daily deal generated. To get started, click the Revenue option at the top-left of the screen, next to the Email option. You'll then be able to see:
- The number of appointments that were booked as a result of the deal.
- The number of discounts that were used.
- The total amount of revenue it generated.
- The total number of new customers you received as a result of the promotion.
Click the drop-down on the right side of the screen to select a date range. In the example below, we're viewing it by week. You can also view it by Month or Year.
The bar chart below also gives you another visual, displaying the amount of revenue you generated, the number of discounts that were used and the number of new customers you received.
Click Export at the bottom of the screen to export the report to an Excel sheet or PDF. Click Print to get a paper copy.
5. To take a closer look at the analytics, click Details at the top-right of the screen. You'll specifically be able to see:
- The date an item from the deal was sold.
- The name of the customer who purchased it.
- If the client was a new customer.
- The specific item that was sold.
- The amount of money that was spent.

Click Export at the bottom of the screen to export the report to an Excel sheet or PDF. Click Print to get a physical copy.
