A service is an item an employee provides for a single client. Examples of services include a women's haircut, a shave or massage. When using the Services/Classes Menu feature, you can add Vagaro services or create custom services that are more unique to your business. You can also do the following:
- Select to either hide services or show the service and/or its price on your booking page.
- Show the starting point for prices. This allows the customer to see the lowest price of a service on your listing page. This is helpful if you have services that have varying prices.
To add a service using the Web Version in Vagaro, follow these steps:
- Click Settings at the top of the screen.
- Select Service/Class Menu on the left side of the screen.
- Click Add. Then click Service.
- Select Add Vagaro Service if you're adding a regular Vagaro service. Click Create Service if you want to add a custom service. Remember, Vagaro services are searchable on www.vagaro.com whereas custom services are not.
- Click Save once you're finished.

How to Add a Vagaro Service
1. Click Settings.
2. Select Service / Class Menu under Things We Sell.
3. Click Add. Then click Service.
4. Select Add Vagaro Service on the left side.
5. Select the services you want to add. Then click Save.
6. To edit a Vagaro service once it's been added, select the item on the Services/Classes Menu.

6B. Click on the three dots that correspond to the item. Then click Edit to make changes.
7. Click Change Photo to add a new image to the service.
8. Enter the description.
9. Click on the drop-down under Resource to select resources for the service. A resource is a room or a tool that's required to perform a service. For example, you can add chairs, rooms or a type of equipment. Click Add New Resource below to add additional resources to the service.
Remember, multiple resources can be used for a service.
10. Enter the Business Cost or the expense for providing the service. Then select the sales tax you want to add. Remember, you first have to add your tax rates in the Taxes & Checkout page before adding it to a service. 11. Toggle to enable the Outcall / Mobile Service option. This allows you to perform the service outside of the business location. Below this option, click Service & Price to show the service and price to your customers on your booking page. Click Service Only to show only the service and not the price. Click Hide if you do not want to show the service or price online.
Toggle the Show Price as Starting Point to allow the lowest price to appear on your booking page. This is helpful if you have a service that has varying prices.
12. Let's now set up the price configuration for each employee. Toggle the options under Performed By if you want the employees to provide the service. A green color means the employee has been selected to perform the service.
Enter the Price, Duration (time length), Points Given and Points Redeem after you're finished entering the prices. The points feature allows customers to collect points when they book a service. In the example below, since we've entered "30" for the Points Given and "120" for the Points Redeem, this means that the customer will get 30 points each time they book this service. Once they collect a total of 120 points, they'll be able to redeem it or get it for free.
13. To add a Gap Time to a service, place your cursor in a box that corresponds to an employee in the Duration column. Then click Add Gap Time once the option appears. 14. Once you click Add Gap Time, enter the Initial Duration, Gap Processing time as well as the Finish Duration. During the gap processing time, the system will allow you to book another appointment. Customers will also see this as an available time on your booking page.
15. Once the Gap Time has been added, you can edit it by placing your cursor in the box where the processing time has been set. Click Edit once this option appears.

17. Once you're done updating the service, click Save at the bottom of the screen.
How to Add a Custom Service
1. Click Settings at the top of the screen.
2. Select Service / Class Menu under Things We Sell.
3. Click the green Add button. Then click Service.
4. Select Create Service on the right side of the screen.
5. Click Choose File to add an image to the service.
6. Enter the name of the service as well as a description.
7. Click on the drop-down under Resource to select and add resources to the service. A resource is a room or a tool that's required to perform a service. For example, you can add chairs, rooms or a type of equipment. Click Add New Resource below to add new resources to the service.
Remember, multiple resources can be used for a service.

15. Once you're done setting up the service, click Save at the bottom of the screen.
How to Insert a New Service
1. Click Settings at the top of the screen.
2. Select Service / Class Menu under Things We Sell.
3. Locate the service on the Services/Classes Menu screen. Click the three dots that correspond to the item. Then click Insert.
4. Once you click Insert, you'll be prompted to add a Vagaro Service or Custom Service.
How to Delete a Service
1. To delete a service, locate the item on the Services/Classes Menu screen. Click the three dots. Then select Delete.
2. Click Delete Service.
How to Change the Order of Your Services
1. Once you've added a service, you can rearrange how it's displayed on the Services/Classes Menu page. Just click on the service. Then drag it to the preferred spot.
2. You also can rearrange them by first selecting the Change Order button.
3. Next, select the Category. Then click on the arrows on the left side of the page to reposition where you want your categories to be displayed on the Services/Classes Menu page.
Once you select the category, you also can rearrange the services that are within that category. Select the service. Then use the arrows on the right side of the page to move the item to a different spot. Click Apply when you're finished.
