IOUs are issued to customers who are unable to pay for an item on the day of the service. Once an IOU is added to a customer's profile, you can view it when the customer is selected on the Checkout screen. From there, you can process a payment.
To add an IOU, follow the steps below.

- Tap Checkout.
- Enter the customer's name, or search by entering a partial name.
- Scroll down to the payment section and enter the IOU amount.
This can be the entire checkout amount or a split between IOU and other payment methods. Change Due must be $0.00 for checkout to continue. - Tap Checkout.
- Enter a comment on the Add IOU? screen, and then, click Proceed.
After an IOU is added to a customer account, it is added whenever that customer next checks out. You can manage the customer's IOU in the web application from their profile page (the IOU tab) or from the IOU Report.
Web Version
