To add tax rates to services and products, follow these steps.
Note
For new US businesses, one tax with the name "Sales Tax" will automatically populate without a tax percentage. Please review your local sales tax rates before changing.
For new Canadian businesses, three taxes with the name "GST," "HST," and "PST" will automatically populate without a tax percentage. Please review your local tax rates before changing.
For new UK businesses, one tax with the name "VAT" will automatically populate with a tax percentage of 20%.
For new Australian businesses, one tax with the name "GST" will automatically populate with a tax percentage of 10%.

Important
Attention International Businesses! When applying taxes to services, products, and more, you can now select up to four taxes.
Remember, you need to set up your tax rates before applying taxes to any products or services in Vagaro. Follow these steps:

Navigate to

Tap Add Tax. Remember: you can only create up to four tax options.

Enter a Tax Name.
You can enter any name for a tax, but it is recommended that you follow tax naming conventions to avoid confusion. (i.e., naming a tax "Use Tax" or "PST" for international businesses).

Enter Tax Percentage.
Please make sure that the tax percentage follows your local tax rates.

Tap Save.
To delete or edit a tax, follow the steps below:
Important
Once deleted, you cannot apply the tax anymore; however, it is still documented in reports. If you create a tax with the same name after, both taxes will be merged in reports.

You can add sales taxes to products. To do this, navigate to

Tap a product to edit.

Tap the Action menu (3 horizontal lines), then tap Edit.

Tap the Tax field.

Select up to four taxes to apply, then tap Done.

Tap Submit. Taxes will be applied when added to the cart.

Navigate to

Select Services or Classes.

Tap a service or class to edit.

Tap Edit.

Tap the Tax field.

Select up to four tax entries, then tap Done.

Tap Save. The tax(es) will be applied to the service/class at checkout.

Tap Checkout.

Select a Customer and add an item to the cart.

Tap the Tax field.

Tap the tax to remove.

Tap Remove, then tap Save.
Note
You can also reapply taxes from the Tax Summary pop-up window; however, if you originally applied two taxes to a product, you cannot apply a third tax through in-house checkout. You can only apply that third tax through Settings.
