Business owners and sole proprietors who activate credit card processing with Vagaro can order a free reader. The credit card reader allows you to securely process debit and credit cards and digital wallets, like Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.
Important
If you decide to cancel your Vagaro account or deactivate credit card processing within 12 months of ordering the credit card reader, you will be charged the price of the reader. Vagaro does not accept returns for credit card readers.
Prerequisites: This feature requires Credit Card Processing.
International businesses can order one of two credit card readers: the WisePad 3 and the WisePOS E. Only the WisePad 3 is free. If you decide to order the WisePOS E instead of the WisePad 3, the price will be discounted accordingly:

You can only receive One Free Reader per merchant account. Service providers can also receive a free reader when they open their merchant account.
If you do not have the option to order your credit card reader, it could be because:

You have already received this promotion.

You used this promotion on an older piece of hardware.

The employee has not activated credit card processing.
if you purchased a credit card reader by mistake instead of redeeming the promotion, contact support. You will not be refunded for the shipping cost of the original reader.
You can only request a refund for a reader if the promotion was not applied when you purchased it. Vagaro does not accept returns for credit card readers. If you want to replace an older reader with a new one, you must purchase a new one.

Vagaro provides free troubleshooting for all hardware devices. If your credit card reader is faulty or stops working, please contact support to troubleshoot your reader. If our hardware experts deem your reader faulty within 12 months of ordering, we will replace your device with a new one. After the 12-month warranty period, our hardware experts will still troubleshoot your device, but Vagaro cannot replace it.

What is the early cancellation fee?
The fee is the price of the reader: $75.
Update, January 2023: The fee is now $100 (current price of the reader.)

The website won't let our business order it for free. What's the best way to go about addressing that?
Hi Brandi... Our system shows that you do have a Vagaro Mobile Credit Card Reader. That is the old style that used a mobile phone's headphone jack to connect and swipe cards. If that is incorrect, call support and see what they can do to help. You can purchase a new Vagaro EMV Reader that supports Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, NFC, Dip, and Swipe from the Vagaro Products page for $100.
Hello i’ve been going back-and-forth with Vagaro support team, but I don’t think they’re all on the same page. I order the card reader last week, and upon setting it up to my account I ran into it asking me to update the firmware and when trying to do so it stops at 7% freezes the app and then eventually says it stopped at 7% and wouldn’t load. The first time I talked to them about this issue I was told to try on downloading and reloading the app and try installing the firmware again and I’ve done this several times and nothings changed. Finally someone got back to me today saying they fixed it to the app and re-download it and install the firmware and it should fix everything well I did that again and nothing has changed so I don’t know if they realize someone had already told me that, I assume that would’ve been in the notes but the notes I was able to see weren’t accurate to the conversations we had. I’m not sure what to do. I need to use the device tomorrow, and I have daily deals running and was told that the daily deals will not work without the card reader. If you have any inside, that may help, please let me know. it’s also blinking the two blue lights on the top which I saw somewhere on yawls website that that could potentially mean it was tampered with, so I’m not sure if this is important information or if it means something else before it set up all the way.

I discussed your issue with our hardware team, and this seems to be a hardware tampering issue. I forwarded your information to one of our SMEs, and they will contact you ASAP. You do not need the Credit Card Reader to use Daily Deals. All that is required is Credit Card Processing and the Online Shopping Cart. While this issue is being resolved, you can still process credit cards with Vagaro by Adding a Card on File (Click Here) or manually entering their credit card information at checkout.
