Once your application is approved for credit card processing, follow the steps below for a free reader.

Business accounts and service providers that have activated Credit Card Processing with Vagaro can order a free credit card reader. The credit card reader allows you to securely process payments with credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and more. Keep in mind that if you decide to cancel your Vagaro account or deactivate Credit Card Processing within 12 months of ordering the credit card reader, you will be charged $100 for the reader. Vagaro does not accept returns for credit card readers.

Select a reader option.
You can choose to receive just the reader for free or other options that include the reader. These options are discounted by the cost of the reader itself.

Enter your shipping address and shipping type.

Select payment options - use your card on file or provide a new payment method.

Review your order, then click Place Order.

Accept the Terms and Conditions.
You will receive a confirmation email with details on your purchase.

To get a reader for your business, click Business Account. If you have more than one merchant account, select one, then click Get Your Free Reader.

To get your free reader as an employee, click Employee Account, then click Get your free reader next to your Merchant Account.

Select the reader.

Enter your shipping address and contact number, then select a shipping type.

Select payment options - use your card on file with Vagaro or provide a new payment method. Review your order and click Place Order.

Accept the Terms and Conditions from the pop-up screen.
Important
Remember, if you receive a free credit card reader from credit card processing and do not utilize Vagaro Merchant Services for a minimum term of 12 months, you agree to pay Vagaro an early cancellation fee equal to the cost of the reader.

International businesses can order one of two credit card readers: the WisePad 3 and the WisePOS E. After your application is accepted, international businesses can order the WisePad 3 for free. However, if you decide to cancel your Vagaro account or deactivate Credit Card Processing within 12 months of ordering the WisePad 3, you will be charged an early cancellation fee equal to the cost of the reader. Vagaro does not accept returns for credit card readers.
If you decide to order the WisePOS E instead of the WisePad 3, the WisePOS E will be discounted according to the sell price of the WisePad 3. Discounts by region are provided below.

You have already received this promotion

You used this promotion on an older piece of hardware

Credit Card Processing is not activated
You can only receive One Free Reader per profile. Service providers can also receive a free reader when they open their first merchant account. There are no limits on how many service providers can receive this promotion. You cannot open a second merchant account to receive an additional free reader.
Do not order a second reader if you purchased a credit card reader instead of redeeming the promotion. Please contact support at support@vagaro.com and (925) 464-1932 ext. 2. You will not be refunded for the shipping cost of the reader.

Note
Vagaro will tie the 1-year contract to the reader purchase and credit the charge to your account. You can only request a refund for a reader if the promotion was not applied when you purchased it. Vagaro does not accept returns for credit card readers. If you want to replace an older reader with a new one, you must purchase the new one outright.
Vagaro provides free troubleshooting for all hardware devices. If your credit card reader is faulty or stops working, please contact support at support@vagaro.com and (925) 464-1932 ext. 2 to troubleshoot your reader. If our hardware experts deem your reader faulty within 12 months of ordering, we will replace your device with a new one. After the 12-month warranty period, our hardware experts will still troubleshoot your device, but Vagaro cannot replace it.

Hi Brandi... Our system shows that you do have a Vagaro Mobile Credit Card Reader. That is the old style that used a mobile phone's headphone jack to connect and swipe cards. If that is incorrect, call support and see what they can do to help. You can purchase a new Vagaro EMV Reader that supports Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, NFC, Dip, and Swipe from the Vagaro Products page for $100.
The website won't let our business order it for free. What's the best way to go about addressing that?

What is the early cancellation fee?
Really would have been helpful to have terms clarified before signing up....
The fee is the price of the reader: $75.
Update, January 2023: The fee is now $100 (current price of the reader.)
My app won’t let me order the free reader. I keep getting an error with the address but it won’t let me select my state
