Phishing is becoming more and more prevalent, with scammers increasingly targeting everyone from executives to booth renters at salon businesses. These bad actors often try to gain access to sensitive information, accounts, or even money by pretending to be a reputable company or trusted contact. To protect your business, it’s crucial to be aware of some common warning signs:
-
Unsolicited calls or messages asking for sensitive information
-
Urgent requests that pressure immediate action.
-
Communication from unknown or unverified sources.
-
Poor grammar
-
Generic greeting
-
Messages from usual email addresses or phone numbers.
Some phishing scams businesses may see include:
-
Someone claiming to be a Vagaro representative.
-
Someone offering to feature your business on Vagaro's main page.
-
Someone offering a promotion to advertise your business and increase your customers.
-
Someone stating that Vagaro charges 30% for all new clients who book online and is offering a one-time fee to waive this charge.
Vagaro does not reach out to businesses in such a manner. Never give someone your credit card number, personal information, or Vagaro login information over the phone, in an email, or over text. All promotional announcements Vagaro sends can be found on the Vagaro software itself or from an email ending with @vagaro.com, like admin@vagaro.com or support@vagaro.com.
If you're unsure if a call or message is actually from Vagaro, please send us an email at support@vagaro.com or call our support lines at:

We have been receiving texts to confirm a log in for several of our accounts, even though we have not been logging in. These come every Sunday for the past few weeks. We changed our emails and that stopped it for a week then it started up again under the new emails.
