If you're getting a 404 error like the image below, you may have entered your DNS records incorrectly, or there are conflicting records in your provider's domain settings.
Try these troubleshooting tips:
-
Make sure that the DNS records match the values Vagaro provided. Even one small error can affect your domain connection.
-
If you moved your domain from another website builder, ensure all DNS records not provided by Vagaro are removed from your provider's DNS settings. Having additional records could affect your domain connection. Ignore any DNS records that can't be deleted. For example, if you have the 15.197.142.173 or 3.33.152.147 "A" records in your provider settings, these must be removed.
-
Ensure that you turn off all Domain Forwarding in your provider's settings.
-
Ensure that you're using your provider's recommended Nameservers.
-
Disconnect your domain from your MySite Domain settings, delete Vagaro's DNS records in your provider's DNS settings, and reconnect your domain.
Contact your domain provider if your website displays a 404 error that looks different.
