The Import tool allows you to easily upload customer contacts to your Vagaro account. You can import clients from an Excel sheet, Google Mail, Outlook Mail, Yahoo Mail, and phone. You can also share data between two Vagaro accounts.
To learn more about this feature, follow these steps:
- Click Customers at the top of the screen.
- Click Import Customers on the left side of the screen under Business. Then select the type of import you want to do.
*Remember, our support engineers also can import your client list directly to your account. Send the file in an Excel or CSV format to support@vagaro.com.

Importing from a Mobile Device
Importing Customers on the Desktop Version
Importing from Excel
1. Click Settings at the top of the screen.
2. Click Import Customers on the left side of the screen.
3. Find the import button under the Excel option. Then, click Import.
4. Click sample excel file to download a template of how the customer list needs to be formatted before importing it to Vagaro. Click Import if the Excel sheet has been formatted properly.
5. If you selected Import, click Browse to upload the Excel file.
6. Select the file.
7. Click Open.
8. Click Upload.
9. The names of the added customers will appear in the Import Summary. Click Import after all the contacts have been validated. If you see a red color next to the contact, this indicates that the contact info is invalid and a specific piece of information, such as an email or phone number, needs to be corrected. Hover over the red color block to see what needs to be corrected.
10. Click the Service Provider drop-down to select the contacts of the employee you want to import.
Click Invite customers to your Vagaro booking page to send an invitation email to the clients who have been added. This email includes a link to your booking page. Click Proceed when you are finished.
11. Click OK to confirm the import.
12. At some point, you may see a popup, stating “Multiple Sheets found in uploaded excel file,” when uploading customers. This means that there are likely duplicates of clients on the list.
To fix this, copy the information to another sheet. Then create a new document. Once you paste the information, click Save. Then, try to upload the contacts again.

Importing from Google
1. Click Settings at the top of the screen.
2. Click Import Customers on the left side of the screen.
3. Locate the import button under the Google option. Click Import.
4. Enter your email or phone number. Click NEXT when you are finished.
5. Enter the password. Then, click NEXT.
6. Click ALLOW.
7. The names of the added customers will appear in the Import Summary. Click Import after all the contacts have been validated. If you see a red color next to the contact, this indicates that the contact info is invalid and a specific piece of information, such as an email or phone number, needs to be corrected. Hover over the red color block to see what needs to be corrected.
8. Click the Service Provider drop-down menu to select the contacts of the employee you want to import.
Click Invite customers to your Vagaro booking page to send an invitation email to the clients who have been added. This email includes a link to your booking page. Click Proceed when you are finished.
9. Once you're finished, click OK.
Importing from Outlook
1. Click Settings at the top of the screen.
2. Click Import Customers on the left side of the screen.
3. Enter the email, phone number, or Skype ID. Then, click Next.
4. Enter the password.
5. The names of the added customers will appear in the Import Summary. Click Import after all the contacts have been validated. If you see a red color next to the contact, this indicates that the contact info is invalid and a specific piece of information, such as an email or phone number, needs to be corrected. Hover over the red color block to see what needs to be corrected.
6. Click the Service Provider drop-down to select the contacts of the employee you want to import.

Importing from Yahoo
1. Click Settings at the top of the screen.
2. Click Import Customers on the left side of the screen.
3. Enter the email. Then, click Next.
4. Enter the password. Then, click Sign in.
5. Click Agree.
6. The names of the added customers will appear in the Import Summary. Click Import after all the contacts have been validated. If you see a red color next to the contact, this indicates that the contact info is invalid and a specific piece of information, such as an email or phone number, needs to be corrected. Hover over the red color block to see what needs to be corrected.
7. Click the Service Provider drop-down to select the contacts of the employee you want to import.
