The House Call feature allows you to offer services to be performed at your client’s home or at another remote location. You can easily get directions to your destination, send your customers your ETA and notify them of your departure and arrival using notifications.
To use the House Call feature, follow the steps below.
Creating a House Call Service on Mobile
1. Tap More at the bottom of the screen. Then choose Settings.
2. Select Service / Class Menu from the list.
3. Now select Services at the top of the screen.
You will have two options:
Option 1 - You can either select an existing service to edit.
Option 2 – You can create a new service.
Option 1 - Edit an Existing Service
A. Choose an existing service from the list by tapping on it.
B. From the menu that appears, select Edit.
Option 2 – Create a New Service
A. Select the green Add button to create a new service.
B. Choose Add Service.
C. Next select the type of service you want to add, you can choose a pre-named Vagaro Service or a Custom Service that you can name yourself.
4. On the next screen you will be able to toggle on the House Call Service option.
5. Tap Save at the bottom of the screen to keep these changes.
Creating a House Call Service on the Website
1. Click Settings at the top of the page.
Option 1 – Edit an Existing Service
A. Choose Service / Class Menu from the list on the left side of the page.
B. Click the 3 dots next to an existing service to edit it and make it available for House Calls.
Option 2 – Create a New Service
A. Click the green Add button to create a new service.
B. Then select Service from the dropdown list.
C. On the pop-up that appears, select the type of service you want to add, you can choose a pre-named Vagaro Service or a Custom Service that you can name yourself.
2. On the next screen toggle on the House Call Service option.
3. Click Save at the bottom of the screen to save these settings.
Sending Your Customers Departure and Arrival Notifications on Your Mobile Device
1. Tap Calendar at the bottom of the screen.
2. Select the appointment. It will have a small car icon to indicate that it is a House Call appointment.
3. From the list that appears, choose House Call.
4. There are 3 options presented to you.
- “I’m On My Way”
- “I Have Arrived”
- “Get Directions”


“I Have Arrived” - Choose this option to let customers know you are at their location.

“Get Directions” - Tap this option to choose your preferred navigation app. Once chosen your map will launch on your device.
Editing House Call Settings on Mobile
1. Tap on More at the bottom of the screen.
2. Select Settings from the menu.
3. Scroll down to Booking, and then tap House Call.
4. On this screen you can select and edit your House Call settings. There are four different fields you can customize.
- One way driving time for House Calls - The amount of time you allow yourself for travel.
- Additional cost for House Calls– Charge House Call appointments a mileage or travel fee.
- Additional points redeemed for House Calls– Require a customer to use additional points to redeem a House Call service using their point balance.
- House Calls are Mandatory –Toggle this option on to only allow appointments at the clients’ home. Toggle this option off if you prefer to host services at different remote locations.
5. Select Save at the bottom of the screen to finalize these settings.
Editing House Call Settings on the Website
1. Go to Settings.
2. Select House Call from the menu on the left side of the page.
3. On this screen you can select and edit your House Call settings. There are four different fields you can customize.

4. Click Save to finalize these settings.
Booking a House Call Appointment
1. Select Calendar from the top of the page.
2. Click on an available time slot then choose New Appointment.
3. Select the service you want to book from the dropdown list.
4. In the bottom left corner of the pop-up, click on the House Call dropdown. Then select At customer’s home.
5. Once you select a customer, their address will automatically populate in the Address box. You can also click Change Address if it needs to be updated.
6. Once you have entered all the appointment details and verified that the address is correct, click Book to finish booking the appointment.
