Credit card transactions are grouped into daily batches until the cut-off time, after which they are deposited into your bank account the following business day. Transactions made on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays are batched together and deposited on Mondays. Any transactions completed after the cut-off time are included in the next day’s batch.
A "batch" is a group of items or processes handled together, similar to baking a batch of cookies. When your transactions are batched, the total revenue generated during the business day is combined into one deposit. This amount, minus credit card processing fees, is then transferred to your bank account.
The default batch time set for businesses is 3 PM Pacific Time (UTC-8). If this time doesn't work for your business, you can change your batch time to 12 AM Pacific Time (UTC-8).
Note
If your business account has multiple merchant accounts, you must change the batch times for each account one by one. Changing the batch time for once will only update the merchant account you selected.
Prerequisites: This feature requires Credit Card Processing and is only available in the United States.
Your funds are deposited into your bank account one business day (varies by financial institution) after the batch cut-off time. Transactions made on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays will be batched together and deposited into your bank account the following Monday.

What would be the benefit of changing your batch time to 12am?
Hi, Maria. Thank you for your question.
Changing your batch time to 12am PT allows you to include an entire day's transactions in the batch. If you choose to batch at 3pm, then transactions processed until your closing time after would be batched the next day.
Please let us know if you have any other questions!
Thank you Kimberly!
So it’s more of a reporting thing for some businesses that want/need to have full days in one batch/report?
No problem, Maria!
It is also a matter of preference if you don't mind waiting a little bit longer for your money to reach your business account. The transactions processed after 3pm will be included in the next day's batch instead of all together at 12am.
